So these are my first impressions about this wooden vaping beauty.

Now we've all heard about this sweet little handcrafted mod.. made out of Brazilian zebrawood. It really does look good in pictures, although of course it doesn't do the mod justice in real life. This device is a pleasure to use and hold. Build quality is superb, and the smell of the wood.. my oh my. Reminds me of those expensive pianos.. and it stays on your hands for awhile after extended use. Lovely. It's a little on the lighter side, like @KenshinAdryan mentioned.. but once with a battery inside it sorta balances out. As you can see from the pics I have a Kepler heat sink + Bellus mounted and it feels good.. not so top heavy.

With it vape-ready it feels nice in your hand. The mod is very smooth, (those with slippery hands, beware!) Had a scare when i took it out of the box earlier and it slipped out of my butter fingers but thank God I caught it between my thighs. Don't ask. Buttons are solid and very clicky. Firmware is pretty responsive. Very fast response especially when changing wattages. Haven't tested TC mode yet but am looking forward. Just had its first field test today, overall a solid performer, and although it's a little early to tell; i'd say it's built to last. This thing. The wood has a coat to protect its surface. Not too shiny, more of a matt finish. Single 18650 with a magnetic battery cover. No rattles. Based on Smok's webby there's quite abit of tech under the hood as well. I won't go into so much detail there but I have to say the ohm's reading is very accurate based on comparisons with my coil master resistance meter.. A worthy collector's item for any discerning vaper. 9/10

Mine arrived today

ill get arounnd to wrapping a nickel coil probably on the weekend, too hot here to concentrate
and bother at the moment. Im hoping it will do better than the 2 VTC Minis ive just returned.
Im confident it will behave better than those at least.

Only had a quick few puffs on the treebox (using kanthal) before i went out, didnt
take it with me as i was in a rush and didnt want to risk playing with it and ignoring
people :)

One of the guys in the building saw me on the way out the back (i mostly vape outside)
when i tried it before i left said "that looks classy" lol

With no battery in either, the treebox feels much much lighter than the VTC Mini, thats
just an impression, i dont have scales.

And yup, it sure looks nice.

Are all the gaps and edges precise?, no, but its wood so you epect some variance.

Do the buttons rattle?, well the up and down do a bit, but ive never understood the people
who fixate on minute things like that, what are they, jumping up and down and vibrating 24/7?

The buttons will rattle on most mods with metal buttons at some point as the membrane
underneath wears anyways..

I like the buttons very clicky and solid feeling

The 510 has no notches for bottom air flow tanks, thank god, because who stilll uses those,
and its something i appreciate as if my tank does leak, its not going into the 510 and the mod...

The menu system is really easy to use and none of the maddening delays of the other
Smok devices ive seen - i borrowed an m series Smok device from a friend once and
its menu drove me nuts

The only thing missing presentation wise is an led in the lid of the box that comes on and shines
down on the mod when you open it, and maybe a sound chip that goes "tada"

ill see how temp control goes on the weekend, im about to have breakfast and then collapse

Should add that the only possible downside right out of the box is that for a
little while at least you might get the feeling like you want to wash your hands
before touching it - are my hands clean enough - it looks that nice lol

Also same tank, same watts and resistance, the TreeBox seems to hit better
(than the VTC Mini's i just returned) though the low humidity/high temp here
today means its ruining my clouds :)

And the menu is round robin, if you want to power down, its 3 presses on fire,
then up to the shutdown menu, then up/down to Off and fire button, instead of
8 down presses to the shutdown menu after hitting fire 3 times!

The screen is supremely bright as well
