I was totally excited to get my nord kit, when came to my hands, noticed something i didn't realize that much when purchasing it, it has a fire botton, why smok, why!?

my two cents about nord kit:

decided to give a try, with the 0.5ohm head, DL is amazing, but still miss the airflow option, is to weak for my taste, interesting to have a device that can do both MTL and DL, then using my regulated mod realized that my love for pods is because they work as complement of the vape mod and RTA, im too dumb sometimes and during the time i was using it the 99.9% percent of the time i did forgot about the fire botton, since i was using a pod, 2 quick hits, enjoy the vapor, flavor (which isnt that good agains my rolo badge or Tesla Tpod) then i drop my pod in my pocket, continue what i was doing, then some accidentally fires, everything smells like magic, ended up burning a 0.5ohm pod head in 3 days, decided to sell it, so far the unique thing i hate about nord kit is that fire bottom

Regards,

I turn it off every time I put it in my pocket or purse, I had it go off once inside my pocket and was like ohhh so now I just click it five times before putting it away.

I love mine aside from the inconsistent quality of the pods. I bought a Nord so I wouldn't have to replace the pod all the time. I've had mine for about a month and had three pods crack on me. The last two times were in the same day. I bought one right after my pod cracked, and three hours later that one cracked too. Didn't drop it, didn't yank it out of the device, didn't chain vape it. I was astounded. Luckily my vape guy didn't even attempt to charge me for a replacement.

It's just a pain in the .... when you don't know if what you're buying is going to last a day or a month from one purchase to the next. Aside from that, the flavor is good and the coil life is good, although I'm sure I'm about due for a batch of bad coils too. Sigh.

That's the reason I was so perplexed by it. I looked online and couldn't really find anything about pods cracking and even the vape store guy was like...never heard of that before. I was like..what am I doing wrong? It sounds weird to say I'd feel better if it was a common thing but it's like the vape equivalent of going to the doctor with some weird health concern and having the doctor be like "Never seen that before..."

I'm not a brand hater. This is my first Smok product aside from a hand me down leaky device my mom (who also vapes) gave to me, but I chalked that up to it being used and banged around. I think I'm giving Smok a fair shake...

It could be the juice you're using. What used to be called tank cracker juices like cinnamon and strawberry and several other types of citrus. It used to be common but most device manufacturers have moved to better plastics that don't have this issue. Maybe in this case they used a plastic that doesn't work well with your juice. It just seems you have had too many failures that I haven't seen others report. Maybe try a desert or bakery juice or something? Not really sure, but worth trying.

Yeah, I see your point. If it happened that quickly it isn't the juice causing the cracking. If it was juice it would take at least a couple of hours to affect plastic. I don't have any other good ideas other than just bad pods I guess.

Apparently mine was firing in my purse and continued to fire until burnt coil BLECH!! I tried cleaning and refilling, still BLECH!! I’ve only had it for a few days so I don’t have any replacement coils yet... I guess once burnt, there’s no turning back? Note to self! Pockets are t good either! I like the device, but it will be a learning curve for me!

Everyone I talk to likes this for DL. I also like the occasional DL. So the question is.....this thing going to be around awhile? I hate the idea of having the spend a ton of money stocking up on coils that might not be around in 6 months.
I have a feeling the Nord or at least the coils will be along for a while as they are using these coils in multiple devices. It seem the Nord coils are similar to the platform coils from Innokin. That gives me hope that they will be around for a long time much like the old Kanger coils or Nautilus coils which are still around from about 5 years ago. The more devices that take the coils, the longer the coil run should be.
