hey, i was lead to believe this is the place for New members questions.

i just bought a Smoke al85... and it wont stop spitting liquid!
i have tried three different coils. 0.15(quadruple coil), 0.4 and 0.6.
iv tried using min recommend watts and max recommended... tried priming it only in the middle and only on the walls of the coil. but nothing! also tried soft normal and hard modes
keeps spitting... the only way i might use it is in 25 watts on soft mode on the 0.6 coil but it still spits....
what should i do???
please help, after some research the al85 kit should a good starters kit but so far im very disappointed.

The tank is brand new... So I don't think any rings are damaged. Also which one is the atty exactly.

I have changed 4 coils by now and all spat back
... Doubt that all of them sat incorrectly...
The atty is the round top bit. In your case the tank. I agree about the coils which is why I’m thinking o ring. Could be missing one from the factory too. That kind of thing has been known to happen.

Probably sucking too hard while you are vaping. Drawing too forcefully can cause the coil heads to flood, causing excess e-liquid to accumulate in the air chamber. The excess has no place to go but into your mouth when you suck.

Try a gentler, longer draw once the air chamber is cleared. No not smoking a cigarette; a different technique is often required for vaping.

"Flooding" is a common occurrence in e-cigarettes. The definition of flooding is getting juice into the air passage of the tank. This can include any point between the mouth piece and the very bottom part that connects to the battery. Each tank has holes in that air passage, where the wicks passthrough. This is required for the device to work properly. Unfortunately, this opens up the possibility for flooding. The trick with flooding, is knowing how to avoid it. I’ll explain a little more, but a few common causes for flooding a tank include: improper filling, over filling, pulling too hard when hitting the device, and the temperature can even play a role and/or damage.

"Dry" or "burnt" hits are also a common occurrence in e-cigarettes. This happens when an inadequate quantity of e-liquid reaches the coil. This can occur from using an e-liquid which is too thick for a tank, intake holes for the e-liquid being inadequate, or using a bad wick or coil. Doing "primer puffs", which is taking a puff or two without power on, may eliminate this phenomenon.

Before I get into the explanation, let me explain how an e-cig works a little more in depth. Nearly every tank has a wick that is used to absorb the juice in the tank. This wick cuts through the air passage. Typically, the wicks look like strings hanging in the tank or is a roll of cotton, but some have smaller wicks located at the bottom of the tank and the ‘strings’ are not visible unless the tank is disassembled. Each wick has a piece of wire that wraps around it in a coil. When you activate the button on the battery, you send electricity through the wire. As the wire heats up, it vaporizes the juice that is in the wick.

Improper Filling: When filling your tank, you have to be careful not to get juice into the center tube of the tank. This center tube is the air passage. When you take a draw, air comes from the bottom of the tank, through the air passage and into your mouth. If you get juice into this passage way, your tank is flooded.

Over Filling: If you over fill a tank (specifically a top coil like the ones that come with the starter kits and gift boxes), the wicks can become over saturated and just like a rain cloud, they will leak into the air passage. Once this happens, you have a flooded tank.

Pulling Too Hard: As I mentioned the wicks absorb the juice in the tank. As you pull on the device, you cause a vacuum effect that pulls juice into the wicks. If you pull too hard, you can pull in more juice then the coil can vaporize. If this happens, the juice leaks into the air passage and you have a flooded tank.

Welcome and glad you joined.
It difficult to tell which cause is responsible for your difficulties.
Might like to read several post/articles to get a feel for the solution:

I would probably tear down your atomizer and look at the placement and condition of the O-rings and not rule it out of hand. We know it's not your coil, and I've had equipment (not even ah, smok equipment) arrive with poorly seated O rings or damaged O-rings so I really would check (you should be washing your tank thoroughly prior to use anyway, to remove any machining oil that may be present).

Also, you need to be sure your coil is seated correctly, and that when you fill, you aren't "flooding" the coil, which can lead to popping and spitback before you even start. You want to prime your coil well, but also not over prime it. It's possible you are getting eliquid down through the chimney and mouthpiece when you are filling, it can be good practice (if it's bottom airflow) to blow gently though the mouthpiece and "catch" any liquid that comes out through the airholes. If it's top air, you can tip and sort of fling your tank so that any eiquid in the chimney or mouthpiece comes out.

Those are some usual suspects, as well as of course, the tank MAY have a defect but you won't know that unless you really take apart the tank and check everything as you wash it.

It can be surprising how easy it is to fill incorrectly and then get "juice" in one's mouth.

I might watch a few video reviews of your device, not so much for the opinions of the reviews but some can be quite helpful to "get to know" your device.

Best of luck, and I hope you get it sorted out . I will point out that most of the advice you are getting is from vapers who are pretty seasoned. They want to see you succeed (and I do, too) so ruling advice "out of hand" because you think something "should" be a certain way.... Does not guarantee something will BE a certain way. So, I would take all advice given and use it, because otherwise it's going to be hard to know what is causing your problems. I seriously doubt it is your coils because you got the same result with ALL of them. Hopefully, you kept them so that you can use them again, once your identify your problem.

Best of luck and welcome to ECF.

First of all I wanna mention this forum has really great vibes. All you people really tried to help with what I only can assume a reapted question around here.

So, a quick update:
With all the fiddling, coil changing and what not I broke the tank's glass. And while buying a new one(since this kit does not come with a spare one) I decided to buy a bigger tank the X baby beast brother... And this one doesn't have that problem. So I can only assume it was a faulty o-ring. Or an overall faulty tank...
Thanks for all your help
