Question on size of coils for the Nautilus/Nautilus Mini coils

I know the 1.6/1.8 are MTL and not much difference between them. So what are the .07?

Any other suggestions on a simple tank along the line of the Nautilus?

Having trouble tasting juices

I am using Spectrum Kaos at low wattage, Ijust and Cuboid

Help???

Hi - The 0.7 ohm coil was released with the Nautilus 2 tank. It can handle a bit more power and airflow. The 1.6 and 1.8 are best at around 10 watts (max), whereas the 0.7 can go up to about 20 watts if you open up your tank's airflow. Or you can keep the airflow and power down and use it like a 1.6 or 1.8. Note: The Nautilus mini & original don't have the wider airflow of the N2, so be careful if you're using the 0.7 in there and push up the power.

Not sure about the taste/flavour issue - are you saying the 0.7 isn't giving as much flavour as the 1.6/1.8? Can you adjust the power and airflow to see if that makes a difference?

All the nautilus & triton mini replacement heads are the same physical size and are interchangeable.
Make sure you're using authentic aspire replacement heads, there are as many knockoff/counterfeit heads on the market as genuine.
IMO the clone heads are unreliable, off tasting, usually don't last as long.

The .7Ω heads work well with all sorts of liquids but shine when used with those liquids that like higher power / more heat to bring out the full flavor profile.
I find when too much flavoring % is used it actually mutes the flavor or at least muddy's the flavor.
Which head you use is a matter of personal preference, try them all to find which you like best.

Overly flavored e liquids can cause taste sensory overload, might try a bottle of flavorless to give receptors a break.

Have you been to a doctor (ENT) to rule out a medical cause? sinus problems etc...
Do you occasionally smoke / dual use?
How many mls of liquid are you getting from each head before replacement?
What power ranges (watt range) are you using? too low-wet sputtery low taste vape, too high-warm dryish low taste vape.
Have you tried adjusting airflow / where do you normally set it?

I think maybe I am having sensory overload. I do have bad sinus issues have visited an ENT but It is a lot of just environment nothing much has helped. I do use a neti pot try to every day

I find cinnamon & menthol (not necessarily together) taste the best but am I muting my taste buds?

I usually try not to go over 14w on my Kaos. Besides that I use an Ijust and Smok (not sure model) but it's a stick just like the ijust

I don't use the matching tanks, tho I pretty much stick with each nautilus.

How long should a coils last estimate?

Are there any other tanks besides Nautilus, Nautilus Mini, Nautilus 2 and Triton Mini that takes the same coils?

Hope that helps

Thanks everyone for the Help. I am really a NOOB :)

Hi - I'm sure there are others, but as a start:
  • The Kabuki (Not inexpensive - there are clones. Speaking of which...)
  • The Vika Fantasy (vikacig.com)
  • Ijoy Elf (if you can find it)
  • One or two older tanks also use them - look for "Anyvape Cerotank", though I may be mistaken.

If you're using flavoured liquid, a coil might survive up to 20mls' worth - possibly a little more. In terms of day to day usage, probably about a couple of weeks (…but it depends!). Running them at 14 watts may pull that down a little.

A head lasts until you notice an off, odd, funky or burnt taste or when the flavor & airflow is reduced.

Using goopy gunky or overly flavored or sweetened liquids that may be as little as 10-20 ml.
Using clear non sweet lightly flavored 60-80+ ml.

So if you vape 10ml per day somewhere between 1 & 8 or more days.

The 0.7 coil can handle a bit higher wattage and sometimes will go through more eliquid how that will affect your flavor IDK, I tend to favor the 1.6 coil but everyone's different.

Do you only want tanks that accept this coil? If so you have gotten a good list if you want other MTL tanks, the Innoken Zenith is nice, 4 ml capacity a 1.6, 0.8 and 0.5 mesh coil it gets good reviews for flavor as well as coil longevity.

How long a coil lasts is so subjective and based on how many factors, it's hard to estimate. I might try to go by mls vaped rather than days, it's at least more accurate.

A few other MTL coils of note, the Nicholas Vapefly, not my all time favorite MTL coil but I do put it in rotation.

The joytech CLR coil at 1.0 ohm is a very nice, durable, rewickable and recoilable coil head if you so desire. Great flavor longevity and vapor density. A bunch of tanks take it, of which I think the most well known are the Joytech Ego Mega tanks or the Tron Joytech tanks, but there are a plethora of other tanks (joytech or not) that will take this coil. If you are interested, well it has its own thread: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/threads/ego-one-tank-series-–-clr-coil.697218/page-467

Happy vaping,

Not true since the 0.7 coils (Nautilus 2 origin coils) do have a bigger positive pin and also the airflowholes in that pin have a bigger diameter. In case you want to use them in the 510 Kabuki you need to swap out the pins to make it work. Same applies for the Triton minis, afaik.

Quite difficult to see, but I think you may spot the difference.
