SINUOUS P80

I keep going back and forth between picking up a P80 or the Sinuous FJ200. I know the FJ goes up to 200w (which I won't realistically need), and also has an internal 4600 mAh battery. There's not much info here on the FJ which makes me a bit leery. Since I would need to buy some batteries if I go the P80 route they're both going to cost me about the same. I'm probably over thinking this and should just get the P80, but wanted to see if anyone here has used both of these mods.

I don't know that particular mod, but I use both external and internal battery devices. If you think you're ready to start owning mods with batteries, and buying a good charger & batteries, I'd go with the P80. It's a great mod. Although keep in mind it's a single battery device, and the FJ200 is about equivalent to a 2 battery mod, so you'd get longer daily use out of it. I still use both a 2500mAh internal mod (as backup), and the P80. Nothing wrong with an internal battery mod, per se.

The thing I always disliked about internal battery mods, is that when the battery would go bad and wouldn't charge anymore, I would have to throw the whole mod away (what a waste). I have always bought devices that took separate batteries (and bought a good charger), that way when a battery goes bad, I would only have to replace the battery. Having both is OK I guess, some like it, but I think you want to know which one to get, as you can only get one of them. I have the P80 and love it, it is small, light weight, and compact. The FJ200 goes up to 200 watts yes, but how much power do you really need to vape with, if above 60 watts or so then the FJ might be a better choice for you. You can charge the P80 with the battery in it though, but get a external battery charger as soon as you can afford it and use that to charge batteries with (like DancingHeretic said).

I haven’t read this whole thread so apologies if this had been discussed. I received this mod via giveaway and have enjoyed it well enough but I keep getting an issue. Probably 10-20% of the time when I hit the fire button the screen lights up but it does not fire. It’s not an issue that the atomizer isn’t making contact or low/high ohms it just doesn’t fire. If I click the button again it will
Fire but after a few good fires it will do it again. Has anyone came across this issue and have a fix for it? Thanks for any help you can give.

It doesn't briefly say "No Atomizer" while you're holding the button? On this mod, that message disappears as soon as you let go of the button. As soon as I released, the screen appears normal and stays lit for several seconds.
I see you've been around here a lot longer than me, so I won't even speculate on 510 pin issues, but you didn't mention if it does it on other tanks?
I've gotta say, if it happened to me 10-20% of the time, I wouldn't "enjoy it well enough." That's gotta be frustrating.
Hope that's your issue, because it'd be a shame if it didn't work. I love mine. Maybe someone will come along with a simple fix for you.

The only time mine will do that (and sometimes it will) is when my Battery level is down enough where it won't handle the sag, and it won't fire, but as soon as I put in a fresh battery everything is A-OK again (and I only run mine at about 7 to 9 watts, but there is still battery sag). If you run at 20 or so watts then the battery sag will kick in sooner, but you prolly already know that. It could be a defective unit though. Can you still send it back, or has it been too long to do that ??

No it doesn’t say “no atomizer” and it does it when the batteries are fresh also. I got it as a prize in a giveaway so I wouldn’t feel right sending it back. A quick re-click of the button and it will fire so it’s not a huge deal. It’s strange it just lights the screen and doesn’t fire because I’ve held the button when it happens and it doesn’t say anything special. It could be because the tank that came with the kit leaked all over it. It’s the mini ELLO I think. The tank was garbage it only held 2ml which was the only plus because that way you only lost 2ml of your juice when it leaked out. I really only use one mod which is my Cylon and is great but I have this one setup just to try since I got it free. I’ve only had it a week but since it was free I’m not gonna send it back I’ll just see how it goes. I have my crown tank on it now and I’ll just reclick it when the problem happens again. Thanks for the responses, I appreciate the help. Now if ecf will get rid of the damn blue WIN! $1000 shopping spree bubble that’s driving me nuts.

I don’t know the last time I heard someone say that they were using a crown tank. I really liked those and used them for quite a while with rba’s.

The crown is great, I’ve been using it all day everyday since 2016. I recently moved it to backup duty because I wanted to try out an RTA. Everytime I thought about getting a new tank I’d stop myself and realized there wasn’t anything wrong with the tank I was using. The crown with the .5 dual ss coils is prebuilt perfection.

Don't feel alone, I have done the same thing. LOL. I am really enjoying the original crown tanks. I am using the rba's now as they were just around $7 on FT. Top fill, no leaks, hits are great and so is flavor. What's not to like. It does have a small deck but I use a magnifying light so I can really see it. Not much room for cotton but I just stuff it in as best I can. I must be doing something right, cause I have zero problems with it. I did use the .25 ohm coil before trying the rba and it was good too, lasted around 3 weeks.



eta and I use both of the ones I have on my 2 P80's.

The baby beast tank will work for a while and then just nothing have a got too much tank and on the mod or what as far as the menu I can't bring it up at all

Sounds like you’re stuck in stealth mode or something. Try holding the fire and left button and see if it says stealth off. Then the screen will come up. Not sure if that’s what you mean but give it a try.

I will go along with or something. From the time that I put the battery the first time I have never seen a menu. It was in TC when I put the baby beast tank on it and it changed from TC to watts got three or four hits before it quit. I can hit the fire button and the screen goes black Can't use lock and unlock key function

It's supposed to be: 3 clicks, and get to mode flashing. Then if you click left button, it'll rotate thru the different functions. If you right click, it'll change the value of whichever function is flashing. Then press fire to confirm, and again to vape.

When you have it flashing, the right button changes the value, and the left button moves it to the next function. for instance, when the VW is flashing, push right, and it'll scroll thru bypass, TCNi, TCSS, etc. Keep pushing right until it gets to what you want, and press fire to set it there. Then, 3x press fire again, and left push until you get to the function you want to change value for. Say you've selected TCSS, and you want to change the watts - push the left until Watts is flashing, then right press to increase the watts, then press fire to set it. And so on.
