watching the video, looks like the voltage displayed on the left is supposed to be the output voltage

No when you're in wattage mode it displays the voltage on the left and vice versa. I was using it in voltage mode at 4.0 volts and something around 25 watts. After two short pulses, I checked the screen and the voltage had been adjusted down to 3.4 volts and the wattage had dropped accordingly. After this I adjusted the voltage up again and pulsed again and the same thing happened.

Hmm. I also noticed that if I turn my istick 30w up to 4.2 volts to fire it, it fires, but then automatically turns it down to 3.4 volts. Any idea why?

oh, maybe it's too low ohms for the voltage you are setting.

4.2 x 4.2 / 0.7 = 25.2 watts

amps = 4.2/0.7 = 6 amps.

there's probably a 5 amp current limit on the output.
