Hi all,

I've been reading several posts on this website and various other ones to try and find a straight answer to what I thought was a simple question.

I just recieved a twin-pack of ejuice from vape XL e-liquids. One 100ml Bottle of the flavor "Swing" and one 100ml Bottle of the flavor "Battah". Link to a retailer

Unfortunately for me, they both have 0MG of nicotine in them. To make them both 9mg nicotine strength, what product do I have to buy and how much of it do I use to make each bottle a 9mg strength solution?

Thanks for your help,

Pat

The product I'd use would be a nicotine solution of 100mg/mL (10%) strength. If you add 10mL of that to each of your 100mL batches of liquid, the result will be just a skosh over 9mg strength for the mixture. You don't mention your PG/VG ratio, but you can buy your nicotine in a matching ratio if you want. Bear in mind that you'll dilute the flavor just a little, but I wouldn't worry about it.

There's a wide range of nicotine vendors out there, and if you look in the DIY sub-forum you can find a lot of advice about quality and such. I'm a cheapskate, so I buy mine from My Freedom Smokes or E-Cigarette Express when they're having a sale.

If you just want enough nicotine base to add to those 2 bottles...I'd order a 15mL sample of Nude Nicotine's Nic Base here, for several reasons:

Nicotine Sample Request - Nude Nicotine

First, it's one of the best nic bases you can get IMO - very smooth and not peppery at all. Second, it's the way to get only a small amount, since most places don't sell less than 50mL of it. Third, it's dirt cheap for the 15mL sample!

I'd order the 100mg/mL in whatever PG/VG ratio most closely matches the ratio of the juice you have already. That 15mL won't make those bottles into 9mg nic, but it can be approx. 7.5mg. You'd only have enough to put 7.5mL of it in each bottle. But, you probably won't even notice the small, approx. 1.5mg nic difference!

OK, so if I were to purchase a 30ml bottle of this 100mg Unflavored Nicotine Base in the 70VG/30PG mix, I could add 10ml to each of the bottles, I would be good to go with the result being a 10mg nicotine strength in each flavor correct?

10mL of 100mg/mL nicotine solution contains 1000mg of nicotine. When added to 100mL of your zero-nic juice, it will make 110mL of mix.

1000mg / 110mL = 9.09mg/mL <---that's your result.

You could start small, adding 1mL of the nic solution to 10mL of the juice, or add 2mL to 20mL...just to get a feel. Shake the nic solution thoroughly before you start (and every time you use it), and of course you'll want to shake the mix thoroughly as well.
