short circuit protection

I just bought the innokin iTaste 134 andhave had it two weeks. I'm not a heavy vapor. It started flashing red then shutting off. So, I charged the battery. It turns on nirmally then flashes red six times andshuts off regardless of which tank I have on it. I know it has short circuit protection but I don't know what that is or how to stop it if it is happening to my device. Any advice? Thanks
