This is going to sound completely crazy, just curious if anyone else has come across this.

Saturday late, on my way home I started noticing a salty taste in one of my flavors. It was a new one, I just kind of figured that it was how it was mixed.

Then all day Sunday, I kept noticing this salty taste, even after I switched juices... so I went home and opened a new atty. Still with the salty flavor.

Just figured I was vaping too much and it was some kind of anomaly. I had considered the possibility of lithium salts collecting in the atty (it's out there, I know..not even sure thats possible).

So I switched batteries to another identical set (Tenergy rcr123a 3.0V @750mah)...still salty.

Then I tried switching to these Rcr123a @900mah and the salty taste is kind of going away.

This is wierdness that makes no sense to me. I guess the short answer is sticking to the 900mah (even though I'm not sure how that would be different).. problem is they are a super tight fit in my PV and they are kind of a bear to swap out.

Strangest damned thing.

Inspect all those batteries and the battery holder closely. (you don't say which mod) Look for any type of residue, expansion/warping, or uneven seams on the batteries. If you don't find anything, it couldn't hurt to clean out the battery holder and wipe down the batteries.

You DEFINITELY don't want to be inhaling/vaping anything that comes out of a lithium battery, it could be very very bad.

Yeah I checked that out.. nothing unusual. Put them on a charger and today I'm not getting it so much. When I tested with the 900mah, they had a full charge.

I'm guessing it was an underlying flavor from another juice. The batteries weren't at full charge so maybe I wasn't getting the voltage I was from then new battery.

So when I used the new the batteries I was getting the full flavor and not the residue. Only thing I can think of.

Things are a bit better today, also thinking since I had vaped pretty much the same flavor all day, my tastebuds just got a little jacked up.

We will see what the day brings. Also rewashed the atty's with vodka and distilled water rather than the mouthwash... so maybe that may have been an issue as well.

Oh well, its and adventure.
