I just ordered mine yesterday. My VERY FIRST mod! The kit price was great - not too cheap, not too expensive. Didn't seem overly complicated. To change voltage, change the battery. (Dials scare me. I could imagine my dialing up a flamethrower. Personal flamethrowers are illegal in 48 states, or so I hear.) The learning curve seemed perfect for me, meaning it's more of a gentle slope instead of a sharp incline (and decline). LOL

I hope Hoogie's Speedy Delivery Leprechauns get it here this coming week. *fingers crossed*

This is on the short list for my first mod.

I have a question about the finish tho. It's available in tumbled and standard(?), which one is the shiny one?

Shiny is the regular, the tumbled takes off some of the lathe marks and gives it kind of a matte finish. We just got our powder coat equipment in so keep an eye out for some colred one coming soon :)

The bad part is that soon is undetermined yet :(

Well, consider me standing in line for a black shortbody ;) . - I can just imagine what a MAP tank with a black drip tip sitting on a black battery extender on top of a black rough stack would look like. That would end up being quite a unique looking device.

These new rough stacks are darn good looking just the way they are. But, colors will no doubt be extremely popular. These rough stacks are a very nice tube mod. A nice paint job will no doubt add to their value.

I'm considering ordering one of these for a portable high voltage mod...love my bumble bee but hate being stuck to the wall. I have a few questions about it, and hoping someone can answer them :). Ok first question is what is the difference between the roughstack and maxi rough stack. Can the roughstack be used as a 6volt device or is the body to short for two 16340 batteries?

IF i'm reading the website right, which i definitely might not be...The roughstack can only take 1 18350 battery or 1 16340..And the Maxi roughstack is the longer body allowing for customizable voltage options? And if that is all true, how would 1 18350 battery fit into the longer body and still make a connection? Dummy battery?

The Rough Stack was my 1st Mod. It lasted me less than a week. Oh no!...nothing at all wrong with it. Within a couple of days I set about to build my own Mod with MV parts. It is a 2 x 18350 regulated vv Mod. Then it was back to MV for more batteries and a charger. Does it/will I ever settle down? I hope so!

I still like my Rough Stack. It will see use when I need something a little more elegant. Sounds odd per the name, but it is...

Thanks MadVapes!

PS I wonder if there is room in a Maxi Rough Stack for an 18350/18500 and a VV regulator-booster... I suspect so.

Now, anyone figure out a battery combo with or with out spacers to get one of these running at 5volt too? That'd be awesome!
:)

Madvapes will soon be selling a 5.0v battery that is the same physical size as an 18650. I'm guessing it will be the same or very similar to the larger of the two 5.0v that electronicstix sells. I have a couple of them and use them in my maxi rough stack often.

Got my mini RS a couple days ago and love it. Nice small size and I can get more than a day of vaping from the 1200mah 18350 battery. I've been using my 18650 copper mod and that weighs about half a pound. The mini is light and small enough to carry in my shirt pocket.

I got the version with the 901/808 connector which was supposed to be sealed but it wasn't. A quick drop of solder fixed that. It was important to me to have it sealed due to the nature of the XL CE2s that I use in my tanks...they like to leak thru the air tube sometimes and I didn't want the juice leaking into the RS.

I had to modify my homemade tanks to fit but they work...

I ordered my Maxi V2 along with atties, juice, an 18650 and charger, and the cr123/charger combo at 9:15 this morning and had the friendly Madvapes shipping gnomes jumped on my order like a fat kid on cake. Shipment confirmation came through at 12:45 this afternoon. This will be my first mod and I'm awaiting it's arrival on Tuesday with baited breath.

P.S. Hoog, I would say give the shipping department a paid day off for being so damn awesome, but then they wouldn't be there being awesome.
