REPAIR The MVP itaste centerposte wires

I purchased my MVP itaste - within 1 week I broke it. I love this machine - it is worth the purchase! I forcefully broke it by overtightened the beauty ring and then trying to get it off with pliers which in turn spun the center firing post twisting the wires off inside. l would recommend finding someone who has the equipment and the skills to perform the repair ONLY. I had a friend fix the unit while I observed - he is an electrical engineer so it was easy for him. Took about 30 minutes. This is how he made the repair:

• Stabilized the mod with a clamp (cloth around to protect)
• Used a T7 Precision (TORX) Hex Screwdriver (a quality one so you don't ruin the screw) to unscrew 4 screws on the top plate
• Carefully took top off - the trigger button may also come out when taking top off - it's ok, it just set's in there
• You will see the wires twisted off the center post (red - positive / Gray - Neg)
• Clean the hot glue off center post
• Strip coating off tiny red and gray wires
• Use solder gun with wire solder and solder the red wire to the middle post and gray to the side
• Cool and cover with a good brand of super-glue
• Super-glue the center post so it does not spin
• Carefully put everything back together - test it and use with care until you are sure everything is cooled and glue set
• THATS IT!! Easier said than done but that is what I observed.

yikes, sounds intimidating. Take it easy with that beauty ring lmao. My itaste is on it's way from fasttech, how do you like yours? Do you have other mods?

yeah, my son broke his and when I took it apart, guess what I found? The center post is held in place with HOT GLUE! No wonder it failed!
