Regarding KangerTech Protank 3 Coils

Setting aside the leakages, which is story for another time,

What's the deal with coil?

Why is it hard to find and right one???

One I got was short top ones and others claim that long top will match, but I don't think it will.



Left picture is what I use, and Right picture is what people claim is the protank 3 coil replacement.

Can someone explain what is going on here?

I'm not tripping much since kayfun v4 is coming to me soon, but curiosity is curiosity.

The one on the left looks to be version 1 of the dual coils (did you take off the chimney?). They have been discontinued but some stores still have them in stock. The one on the right is version 2.

If you are referring to the top part where you screw it shut, no, but that's one of the pictures I found online.

My question now is, will that newer coil... nm, I doubt it will fit.

The ones on the right are the standard dual coil replacements. The ones on the left I've never seen in my life. It almost looks like the early exposed wick versions but I've taken the post off of those ones and it doesn't look like that. So I don't know what those even are. But I assure you, the pic on the right shows coils that will work in the protank3, mini pt3, emow etc...

Vape shop close to my home sold single piece of its coil for $3. (One that is in right side picture)

It worked wonder and feels like way it should be.

Turned out, a vape shop where I got my first kit sold me crappy, defective battery and tank coils.

I feel so cheated out.

But all is good with the world now.

Ones on the left look like pt2 the ones on the right are the original pt3. The newer pt3 are enclosed, and are crappy coils. I rewind the pt3 coils with 2mm hollow ekowool with 1mm ekowool on top of the coil, they don't leak and vape good.
