Recommend an e liquid for a menthol smoker?

Hey guys im new to vaping, i got a starter kit off madvapes and without looking around just chose some liquid from there too, its the hangsen menthol. So i've been vaping it for a few wks now and ive been enjoying it, although still have the occasional cig. I want to try something else, i think its a little too minty. I also tried some regular tobacco flavor (hangsen virginia), and it was way too sweet, tasted like i was vaping straight from a grape capri-sun.

Whats a good menthol liquid that subtle with the mint, has some tobacco taste? Just from a few quick searches i've read that true pure from Halo is great but i see they discontinued it. All the menthols from Halo look overly minty. I was planning on trying some tribeca and prime15 because i've heard theyre great but i really need a menthol to fall back on. Any suggestions?

I've tried many, many menthols! I do not like the minty taste either...I just sold over 20 bottles of menthol that had that same taste. For months and months I've been vaping Mr Eliquid full flavor menthol. It has a slight 'smoke' taste on exhale by itself. I usually add a few drops of something else to tame it a little I always thought that I needed flavors I liked with the menthol I liked added...until I found their Ice Collection! I have not vaped my adv (their menthol mixed with krankberry) since receiving their bubble ice. It is perfect just the way it is! Maybe look into the ice collection....I also found another adv in a sample they sent, Smart Ice. I do not like the tobacco flavors so cannot input there. Good luck!

I never usually smoked menthol cigarettes unless I was sick. But was curious of the vapor equivalents. Currently I'm finishing up a clearo of Highbrow Menthol, I imagine their normal plain tobacco flavor. Been going through all of their tobacco flavors this last month. Great stuff. Their menthol is exactly like Marlboro menthol lights. Or at least how I remember them. My usual was camel lights.

MT Baker's 555 is probably one of the 3 juices I found most disgusting in 4 years... but, I know a lot of folks do like that one. I just can't past the burnt nutty taste in their 555 flavoring... I think it's kind of chemical and cheap rather than smooth and rich.

I think Mt Baker shines more with fruity flavors.

I tend to like the lab menthols best... gej (goodejuice) is a great place to look because you can buy lab grade liquid (emerald square and 2 others), their own juice (Ice cold and house) and they have a mentholated naturally extracted juice as well... additionally, they sell 4 other brands of juice.

I am also a fan of Halo's juice.

I am a pretty dedicated menthol vaper and I have yet to find a menthol with a decent tobacco base... emerald square being the best so far (non-net) but it's a tad too weak on the tobacco.

Others I like include:
Backwoods Brew, Vaporcast, Totally Wicked (minty though) - and I have yet to try the mr. e liquid and vapor god... but our friend that posted above has been really happy with them for a long time.

Moondrop and puresmoker have the most interesting menthol tobaccos I have tasted - very unique and potent

Youll love Vermillion River's Minnesota Menthol. Its perfect balance of tobacco with subtle mint and menthol.

I'm a Newport smoker. Er ... not really anymore, lol, but the point is ... Newports AREN'T MINTYlike altoids, it has a deep, rich, full tobacco w/a touch of menthol flavor. I'm extremely frustrated because I am always feeling a powerful craving for actual MENTHOL. The closest thing I've come to anything decent is the Nhalers~ "Nuport". Not an overpowering mint flavor/smell & nice quality juice that doesn't have that weird aftertaste. Though to be honest I'm new and have only tried 7 different vendors's menthols. So perhaps an experienced menthol vaper will have some good reccomendations. I'll be following this thread as well!

YES. That nutty flavor, ugh! Thankfully other people taste/smell that, too! I was starting to wonder if it was me, or if genuine tobacco is truly made out of nuts after all.

Halos mentols are amazing... I mean, Halo has a unique flavor in their base... you'll either love it or not... some people... we call it a "clean" flavor... anyway... My favorite is the mystic... but it has minty tones... so I'd suggest menthol ice for your first halo menthol... maybe sub sero...

as for the 555 flavor
that nutty taste reminds me a lot of the tfa dk tab flavor or their M Type flavoring... I can't get past it at all.

TVR's 555 menthol is pretty good... their nutty flavor is a bit on the bitter side... but not bad at all.

My favorite 555's are vapor stations frisco, bwb and I like the old v4l brand...

Over four years ago now, I was Salem smoker and one of the best tobacco + menthol ejuices I found was Nhaler's Nuport. Janty's 'Newport' was also good but Nhalers was a bit better. Janty no longer sells the Newport. I tried quite a few at the time and none since, so there may be others just as good now. I'm off menthol and have been for about 3 years now.

Desert Gold from ECBlends is something I like a lot. It's not nutty at all, but it is pleasantly floral. Mix a little bit of your menthol with it and you may enjoy it. Most "tobacco" juices are nutty or floral, that's just how it is. If you mix menthol in to any of your other juices, do it sparingly as it can easily overpower anything you mix it with. I actually like the floral and nutty flavors. If you want a more cigarette flavor try mixing in a little coffee or capacino flavors. I'm making my own juice now, let me know if you ever want to learn how and what flavors are good. The more you vape the less you will want a real cig taste.

Interesting to hear this. I got 555 State Express from freedomsmokes and it is definitely nutty. Especially when I was eating nuts. LOL.

Got some turkish from them too and it's kinda nutty as well.

Going to try the ice ones for wifey.

I'd really like to find a good/heavy tobacco + menthol/mint that I could recommend to current Newport smokers. I feel like a Marlboro Menthol is pretty easy to match with what's out there, but something like a Newport might require an extra bit of richness in the tobacco and darkness in the menthol sections.

Went with the halo menthol sampler pack + 7ml of Tribeca. I'm sure there will be one in there I don't like but its a great value 42 ml for $23 (vs their prices anyway)

Nhalers nuport seems pretty cheap I'll probably order that next

Harbor Menthol from myfreedomsmokes is very good, it tastes like a Newport IMO.

I tried the Nhaler's Nuport and it was a good menthol tobacco. It gave me the urge to have a real Newport(25 years/PAD smoker).I gave the juice away and have stayed away from menthol. With all the other great flavors available, I've had enough menthol in my life and don't need the temptation to smoke an analog.

I'm a little confused with nhalers site.. Is the high voltage/high voltage octane/lung juice just the different nicotine strengths?
