Some may not like the idea of Wal Wart type vaping stores however when the FDA desides to regulate this industry only the outfits that can afford to build and operate approved / certified storage and mixing facilities will survive.

FDA = MAFIA
We do not need any regulations: Older than 18 or 21 years old. We can handle a perfectly safe product ourselves. After one regulation comes another blood sucking one. That's our history______

Thanks for the great post, lasttango! I'm a new vaper, but thankfully my expectations aren't too high :). Any noob doing any sort of research on reviews of juices will hear this disclaimer a hundred times: "flavor is subjective." I've taken this to heart, and it's made a huge difference in my approach to tasting juices. While I HOPE something will be as great as the reviews I've read, I KNOW that I may or may not like it. That can only lead me to one logical next step - try a bunch of juices and see what I like. I got lucky with the first vendor I started with and I'm still buying [way too many] of their juices. My first foray into a highly-regarded vendor on ECF was a bit of a let-down, but no fault of the vendor! I wanted a "real" pumpkin flavor, and didn't get it. I know they are limited by the flavorings they use, and won't count it against them. I also wasn't sure what PG/VG ratio to order, so I went with one that I thought would work. Strike two! While I won't be re-ordering from them, I've gained experience and will do a little more research the next time I venture outside my juice comfort zone.

On another note, I would love to hear ALL the details behind your post - sounds very interesting! Thank you for sharing your thoughts as they are much appreciated.

Ok.. tango's post really eludes to this and I'm just going to go ahead and point out the elephant in the room... 95% of the choices available to vapors are just more of the same. I haven't been vaping that long at six months.. but most places are simply putting flavor extract, pg/vg, nic base and shake. Since I am partial to a specific flavor profile, I have several in my collection from different vendors that are basically the same thing. So ordering from these type of vendors I pretty much know what to expect.

I do think there is a bit of an art to blending, mixing, and getting the right ratios to make things taste good.. so I won't say, its not worth it to order when you can make the same thing for pennies. Although I totally think its possible for someone with the time and patience.

Don't get me wrong.. these juices are often tasty, just saying they're not different. I'm looking for different, so I'm not planning to order from anyone going forward except ahlusion, heathers, indigo, velvet cloud, net.com, goodejuice, nicoticket, the plume room and possibly mom and pops since I havent tried them yet. All of these vendors claim that they are at least partially using house brewed extracts, which is something I can't buy commercially.

But as far as the rest goes, I guess I just don't see the point? How many variations of cinnamon bun and banana nut bread need to happen before we finally catch on?
Point taken Sharon and thanks for having the insight to post this. HOWEVER:

Voodoo E-liquid | Halo E Liquid
Southern Classic E-liquid | Halo E Liquid

Bingo! And Yea, I mix my own juice but these two gems are in a class of themselves. Matter of fact, NO ONE in our DIY forum has figured them out that I am aware of as opposed to Tribeca which is easy to clone. Maybe their is another juice vendor that has a similar flavor but I'm not aware of it.

I could care less weather they use organic, off the shelf flavoring, or house brewed this or that. Like do we really believe all this hype anyway which I believe was part of your point. :) The bottom line is they (Voodoo and Southern Classic) taste great and are one of only a small handful of delightfull and unique juices.

No problem.. I agree it seems like Halo is also doing something different than flavor+pg/vg+nic.. I'm sure there's other vendors that are also using a more advanced approach that I have yet to discover. My list is just the ones I could think of off the top of my head, and yes, Halo should get a mention.

I'm sitting here... vaping Mango Milkshake from Hurricane vapor right now... (don't tell anyone I am vaping such a soft fruity flavor shhhh)
anyway...
This stuff is truly doing it for me... It's got this dirty - rough undertone - like... somehow they've made a mango milkshake into a tough juice with an electric edge. The mango milkshake is quite good... tastes like a mango lassi... sweet on the lips... it's potent stuff... and a little creamy.

Never heard of hurricane... until a couple weeks ago... KentC kindly shared some of his stash with me and there was a cinnamon roasted nuts flavor in there... It was pretty good, so I checked the site out - The site intrigued me... they are in Miami... and they actually make an effort to capture real cuban flavors in their juice... Everyone on their site rated the Mango Milkshake as the one to try and I am impressed. So, I ordered 60 mls more of it... not sure if it's still going on, but all juice was 50% off.

I have only tried 4 flavors from them and I will say that they are different. The tastes were all pretty unfamiliar to me... but to be fair, I typically don't order mango or cinnamon flavors...

the two menthols were pretty good. strong icy sweet finish. not sure if I'd reorder as I am already happy with gej, halo and my own menthols.

I think if you are a fan of companies like vaporstation, liquidxpress, fuzion, gej, flavorjoez... you might like these.

I reviewed a number of the Hurricane flavors in the review section if anyone is interested. I'm a relative noob of eight months. (so you will be getting a noob review on a noob company) Anyway, I happened to hear of them and sampled their flavors right after they opened up shop and yes, I am a devoted customer now. Their 50% off weekend sale lasted about six hours before their production capacity was exceeded and their credit processing crashed. They had to kill the sale early Saturday morning. Lol. Good to see these kids gaining some street cred. I think they will do well. And I will also come out and say, as a primary tobacco vaper, I also have a tank of Mango Milkshake in my rotation today. :)

To get back to the LastTango's original point, maybe there are only a finite number of base ingredients out there (I have a whole cabinet of so-so juices to affirm this theory) but I firmly believe there are still new ways of creating great flavors that will set certain vendors apart. Props to the OP for stepping outside the box when maybe he was beginning to think the lid was going on?

My apologies! I forgot to shower lasttango with kudos! Well done sir. Taking your post/thoughts and the insightful thoughts of SharonMM the other issue which dovetails these thoughts is this:

When the bubble burst who will be around? I'm referring to our little vaping party and for the sake of focus, the reasons why it will burst (not if) can be discussed in another thread:)

IMHO, subject to your thoughts, I respectfully believe that the following traits will insure that a small percentage will survive and flourish. The greater majority of other players will vanish.

- A unique proposition today

- Building a brand today

- Provide a quality "product" today

- A very small percent of vendors have also built an eco system for newbies with quality and upgrade paths all under the same roof. Both hardware and juice.

My thoughts remind me of the irony in the handle "lasttango" lol
