When someone is debating with me about something I'm pretty knowledgable about, and they have some wild claim, I always make them prove it. Show me the documentation, the link to the information, give me something! I don't have to defend myself against wild claims, and you can't prove a negative (that raspberry flavor does not come from beavers at all) but they can at least show you what makes them say that.

There was just something on tv lately about raspberry flavoring coming from beavers .... gland. My kids think it funny but think it is true i dont know. I think they saw it on animal planet show or something. I am drinking raspberry seltzer right now it says all natural so is it raz essence from the berry or an ... it still tastes good.
That's real raspberry, most likely. The word "essence" gives it away. Artificial would be from Castorium.

It's really nothing to be concerned about, imo. Sure, it's not the most pleasant thing to think about. But I'm sure you've, and I know I've, put worse and nastier things in our bodies.

what is anything? organic matter? bacterium is all around us. people are insane. $15 bottle of pledge to clean my wood kitchen table, $12 for scrubbing bubbles to clean my shower when I'm not cleaning my shower, $10 for Mr. Clean to kill the germs on your toilette that you probably shovel into your mouth after scratching your .... at the dinner table anyway. Spend the money on the dish washer pods that wash your dishes and then cover them in anti streak chemicals. Put flouride in the water to kill the organisms, never mind the fact it sterilizes 2% of males. Why is beaver .... gross? Why is digested food mater "disgusting" and not just avoided for the potentially hazardous bacteria? Why does everyone see germs as "GROSS" ? I always wondered this type of thing. When I was growing up my friends and I gladly picked the McDonnald's trash can for cookies on our travels across the town. & we weren't grossed out. If anything we worried about getting sick. Why would you be grossed out by lab sterilized beaver secretion?
