In the PG/VG purity thread, there's mention of Humco glycerin. I've seen this brand before, and would tend to trust it a bit more than most. My question is: is the following link the glycerin in question (ie- the stuff I need for e liquid)?

Amazon.com: GLYCERIN HUMCO 6 OZ: Health & Personal Care

or would it be this:

Ok, now can anyone suggest a mix (VG, nic, flavor and water ONLY please, no vodka/PGA/alcohol)?

you can look through all the recipes and replace the alcohol with vg, pg, or water.. the alcohol is just there to thin out the mix and give a stronger TH

and both above are good.. top one is the PG lower one is VG

Isn't HealthyNest Glycerine one of those that advertises on the bottle, "100% Pure"?

It's probably great glycerine, but even the finest grade chemical lab glycerine isn't 100% pure. That kind of claim turns me off.

My drug-store glycerin is 99.5% pure, with the remaining 0.5% being water. Can't get much purer than that, especially for only a couple bucks per bottle... been using my CVS-bought VG for a few months now, with spectacular results.

I agree, I'm pretty picky about how the word pure it thrown arround. I ended up picking up some Proctor and Gamble Superol V (veg) rated at 99.7% pure (.3% water). I vape the stuff straight.

I picked up a gallon, so if you can't find it localy and want to try it PM me.
The Health Nest stuff is probably just fine, but I had someone telling me it was 100% pure. I pretty much consider this impossible, so I'm a bit biased.
Watkins--- I stay away from it, for some reason it has an industrial "feel" to me.
Humco says all the right things on the lable, but has a "baby care" product look to me, and as I mentioned, wasn't available localy.

I've very happy with my P&G Superol V, not the cheapest solution, but I have enough to keep me in VG for life and still share a little with my forum friends. LOL

I use VG and distilled water to thin, no PG. all my juices are DIY with these. I use about 10% flavor and 20% distilled water, by volume, with the rest VG and nic. Depending on the flavor, 20% water is good, but sometimes less is ok. Loranns flavors tend to be thinner liquids than Capellas, so I might use 15% water with Loranns. Rarely do I go more than 10% flavor.

Current flavors, all using this formula:

Capellas Vanilla Custard

Capellas Pralines and Cream

Loranns Caramel

Loranns English Toffee and Black Walnut (about 7% each and 13% water)

Also, Vermont Vapor sells all-VG flavored juices. Love the Vermont Maple flavor. I buy it at 35 mg stregth, and use it as a base for DIY.

I'm with you on the no alcohol thing...it made me a little dizzy, but worse it really dried my mouth and throat out a lot. And PG does the same. Using water, I find, is a much more moist vape. Some don't get the vapor or flavor, but with a properly wicking cart, and the right thickness, my juices are great on those points, and the TH is good too.

Good luck!
