Question about wire gauge and resistance.

I'm going to purchase a griffin rebuildable atomizer (DID clone) and I would like to know what gauge of kanthal wire I should purchase to get around 3 ohms of resistance.

Ohms is a function of the LENGTH of the wire as well as the gauge. Thicker wire (lower gauge) is less resistance than thinner.

I see 32 mentioned a lot for gauge. See tank and/or rba subforum for lots of posts.

Here is a XL spread sheet to help you figure that out. I will us 32gauge on my Vivinova 2.5

The thicker the wire the less the resistance most will show either or both the ohms per foot or ohms per meter.
Hope this helps. Keep in mind the length is the total length from contact to contact and you may get a small bump in ohms since its not soldered. Not much though.

Oh the ohms may drop some after use. At least I did on my VV.
