I seem to be wasting precious juice in my 510 cart because it only seems to use the juice thats sitting in the top of the cart filling but doenst atomize the rest of the remaining juice, which is alot. When this happens all I get is that nasty burned taste even though its all nice and juicey further down.

SO...my question is, is this a common problem and does drip tips fix it?

it is a common problem with the stock polyfil that's why a lot of people experiment with cart mods...using something other than the stock poly that comes in the carts...like pyramid tea bags or blue foam...or even the zero filter mod...

the drip tips are purely a convienience factor if you're dripping...if you aren't dripping then they really won't do you any good

Thanks Drozd..

Ok cool, sounds like I just need a better filler material, or the tea bag thing lol, umm what is that mod?

There's a sticky in the modders forum:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/72839-cart-mods-how-refill.html

This lists the most common cart mods. A quick search on youtube for blue foam mod or PTB(pyramid tea bag mod) will yield some good videos. I have tried a few, and have gone to direct dripping. So far it provides the best flavor and vapor, IMHO. Only thing is you carry around a bottle of juice instead of a lighter like you did when you smoked. I'm currently looking into cartomizers so I can just fill and carry a few around.

if you look in the modders forum under the cartridge mod section there are about a billion threads on different ones...

the most popular seem to be the PTB (pryamid tea bag...which is what it sounds like the synthetic nylon tea bags you can get at the grocery (lipton tea and there will be a indicator on the box that says pyramid tea bag on it) folded up (or shredded) and stuffed in the cart).....the blue foam (which is an aquarium filter foam (marineland rite size U filter sleves for H.O.T. magnum cartridges to be specific) (this is what I personally use and find easy)....and ZFM (a silicone plug with a slit in it that sits on the end of the cart and no batting in it and essentially "drips" for you)...(they guy that came up with the idea does make and sell them, because they're a PITA to get right making yourself, but can be done)

There are 510 cartomizers now also.

A cartomizer is like an atomizer with tons of wick and foam like stuff, no expensive bridge, and they're only a dollar something. (Atomizer coils really don't cost much, they're a buck something a piece; it's only when you have to build those expensive bridges to nowhere, and put ceramic around the nichrome wire that they run the cost up to 7 or 8 bucks.)

I use the so called drip tips too, I throw away the white rubber mouth stopper, and use a driptip. When it runs out, just put 10 to 20 more drops into the white foam around the coil, replace the drip tip, and it's all set.
