Q-Tip Cotton for Cotton Wicks?

So I ran out of my normal cotton I use (the little poofy balls) and needed to rewick an atty, is anyone aware of any issues using the cotton from a Q-Tip in a pinch? I rewicked it with the q-tip cotton and took a few vapes. It seems to behave the same as the cotton I was using before. I'm just worried about some sort of adhesive or something applied to the cotton for use on Q-Tips that would be dangerous for vaping purposes.

I use it all the time. As I am sure you are aware of though. Allow it to saturate for at least a half an hour. I use qtips because its the perfwct amount for my rda.:beer:

Yup q tip ... I wash it under super hot water though before using it

Build coil setup dripper then run whole thing under super bot water until its clean and flavorless

Many folks use this material, often without boiling or rinsing or whatever. If they're "sterile" 100% cotton, you shouldn't have any issues. If you do rinse it, dry it really well before using it. Water in cotton takes forever to vape out.

Quite a few people seem to use Q-Tips. A couple things about cotton, in any form:

- if it doesn't say "sterile", you may want to boil it

- if it doesn't say "100% cotton", then it probably has latex in it
