I switched over to 100% VG because I was having problems with PG. My little 401 just isn't cutting it anymore. The VG isn't wicking very well with the cart filler - it's like sucking through a very thin straw.

To you 100% VG vapers: which setups do you use successfully?

I really want to use some type of cartridge or cartromizer system for convenience and avoid direct dripping at all costs. I hear that the eGo-T doesn't work well with VG, and I don't want to dilute it and lose any flavour. Flavour and vapour is the most important thing to me, as I'm ex-cigar/cigarillo smoker.

I also want to buy from a Canadian site to avoid all the issues with customs. I'm looking at all these models, carts, cartomizers and tanks but have no idea if they'll work well with 100% VG.

Any help to point me in the right direction greatly appreciated.

Hey all!

Well, I definitely do need a new PV now. The remaining auto battery on my 401 is extremely hard to draw on and only works if I draw on one side. I want something bigger, too.

I'm must admit that I'm reluctant to play around with the juice and custom fillers, as I really want something simple and convenient that doesn't require fiddling around with too much. But if it's the only way I can use VG, then it will have to be done.

Thanks for your comments, guys/gals.

I would highly suggest looking into getting a Reo if you are upgrading and don’t want to mess around with changing fillers and thinning down your liquid as it will work with all VG liquid and all you have to do is throw in a bottle of juice and a battery and go. There should be some for sale tonight on the site and heres the link:

If you do decide to buy one and need batteries I’d suggest checking out RTDvapors as they have decent prices and should only take a week for them to get to you.

If your near or around Toronto I could maybe meet up with you to check and or try out both the Reo Mini & Grand before buying one if your unsure. Also if you bought one you would be able to sell it for pretty much what you payed for it in a hartbeat if for some reason you decide it wasn’t for you.

I order 100% VG nic juice and when possible the same for premade juices myself, and only seem to have issues with wicking (heavy puffer) from a carto (same wld be with carts, which I don't use anymore). All I've done is add up to 10% (max) distilled water to correct that issue and its worked fine for me.

If your a power vaper and use 100% VG... most times any cart/carto with stuffing will disappoint IMO and requires tweaking to thin it just right without losing too much throat hit, flavour, nic strength.

Wow! Thanks for all the tips, guys.

I've come to an executive decision and have decided to buy something that doesn't use proprietary atomizers and tanks, instead opting for 510 compatibility across the board. I've been dripping on my old 401 and it's not that bad now, so I think I can handle using a drip tip, if need be, on a 510 atty, then maybe just try some of the 510 compat cartomizers of tanks or whatever and hope for the best.

The Reo mods look awesome, for sure, but they're pricy, and I prefer a cigar look.

To answer Nanovapor's question:
Can you be more specific of what your problem with PG is? Am curious to know.

I had an irritating dry mouth, burnt tongue and sore throat. Drinking water did not help at all. The PG just felt too harsh, whereas I'm not having these issues so far (touch wood) with 100% VG from Vaporium. Maybe I'll work some PG into the mix and see what happens.

I find that 100% VG is much thicker and much harder to vape unless thinned out. The best results I have had with 100% VG was at 5 or 6 volts and direct dripping on an atomizer (For me it was the 901 or 510 at regular resistance). No thinning was needed for that but I had an Altsmoke Omega from electronic-cigz rocking green Tenergy RCR123a's to achieve 6 volts.

Since I have changed my gear, I mostly vape 50/50 vg/pg And that seems to wick in everything from Bloog MaxxFusion Cartos to Direct dripping on LR Ikenvape and Cisco atties.

If I can't get the mix I want from a supplier, I order 2 of the same flavour (One in VG one in PG) and simply mix them together into a larger bottle and shake it until I think it is well mixed. The resulting juice is not too thick, not too thin, the flavour comes through and the vapour production is very good, at least it is for me.

Are you trying the same flavor but VG now? I ask because some flavors irritate certain peoples throats really badly, and have no effect on other peoples throats. Ive known several people with this issue, seemingly random flavorings will be abnormally irritating to their throats.

If when changing to VG you also changed to a flavor you've never tried, maybe your issue was with the previous flavoring you were using and not actually the PG. You should explore this variable more over time if its a potential factor, theres some flavorings I simply can't handle causing a dry throat, but ive never found PG itself to be much too handle. But I do vape a 70/30 PG/VG blend so maybe that has something to do with it.
