mods, if you believe this is in violation of the no drug-talk rule, please delete my post. However, I am posting this because alcohol is NOT an illegal substance.

Have a look at these:
Is inhalable alcohol a good idea? - By Amanda Schaffer - Slate Magazine
AWOL - inhaling alcohol

CAN AN ecig BE USED TO VAPORIZE AND INHALE ALCOHOL???

perhaps we can use something like everclear (95% Alcohol, 190 proof) and dilute it with our e-liquid. CAN THIS BE USED AT A PARTY?

i am very tempted to try this. Unless I see a "OMG DONT DO IT YOU GNA DIE" type of post soon, I may try it within the next week or so.

In small quantities, people are using clean liquors to thin their e-liquid. I certainly wouldn't try anything syrupy or sugary. I'd probably suggest glycerin for this if you're going to try it as it's thicker, but I really just don't know how much alcohol you can hope to add and still have it vape well - probably need something clear and very high proof. Let us know if you find something that works - but my gut says you're going to be vaping a LOT before (if at all) you notice anything.

I have used some vodka in a mix....I did it mainly when I wanted to thin my mix after adding some vg... it vaped suprisingly well.....I can't say that I experienced any kind of drunken feeling but obviously I would have needed to have vaped about 90ml of juice just to have inhaled even a thimble full of vodka.

Holy shiznit dood... alcohol is fricking FLAMMABLE and you're thinking of running it on a hot atomizer? Inhaling flame aint a great idea....

Almost all e-Juice already has alcohol in it and is flammable, put one drop of eJuice on a metal spoon and apply a flame to the drop of juice & *POOF* gone.
I have vaped vodka in my eCig several times & got a little buzzzz but ya have to vape 2 or 3 cartfuls to really feel an effect.

If there was nicotine in those carts are you sure the buzz was not from the nicotine?

I had to create a very low nic liquid for vaping at night just so I could sleep for 4 hours.

I would be very wary of this for 2 reasons.

#1. Alcohol is flammable, especially the higher "proof" alcohol such as Everclear or 151 Rum. In fact, as a previous bartender I can tell you that these alcohols are more than flammable they are quite literally EXPLOSIVE! Meaning the alcohol burns, sure, but the vapor the alcohol gives off is even more flammable. VERY DANGEROUS STUFF, be extremely careful if you decide to try this. I know a story where a bartender was lighting 151 Rum for a flaming drink, the flame traveled along the alcohol vapor and into the bottle that was nearby on the bar (which is illegal to do, and a bad mistake by the bartender). The bottle exploded and glass shrapnel flew into the bartender's chest and the poor female customer's FACE, scarring her for life.

#2 Alcohol in the lungs can be VERY dangerous. My ex told me of her uncle, a whisky drinker, who accidentally inhaled some whisky as he was drinking it. It seriously effected his lungs, where the alcohol literally chemical burned his lungs to the point he had to have surgery and lost a good portion of his lungs. Granted, this is accidentally inhaling a mouthful of alcohol. However if you're inhaling alcohol in the form of vapor, you're not getting the same "dose", however multiple inhalations of the alcohol vapor could possibly produce the same effects. Alcohol also draws out moisture, which could potentially become dangerous if the lungs begin to "dry out"... which potentially could lead to lung tissue sticking together, or even possibly collapse.

These are just a couple of guidelines to think about if you decide to try this. Anything you decide to do of course is at your own risk. Just BE CAREFUL and use common sense.

Well, It's got to be better then those alchol enema somepeople who don't like the taste are trying.

No kidding! Alcohol enemas are extremely dangerous and CAN kill you. When you drink it, you don't absorb all the alcohol into your system. When you... ahem... well, do it the other way, there is no barrier and you quickly absorb ALL (or most) the alcohol directly into your bloodstream. Extremely easy to poison yourself to death in this manner. About 20 or 30 years ago a man died in this very manner, one town over from mine.

Doesn't that hurt? Alcohol and mucous membrane usually don't mix.

I don't mean to be disrespectful to the dead but that's a real bummer way to bite the dust. 8-o

vodka and everclear are 2 different creatures. NOT saying don't do it BUT am asking before putting your mouth to the mouthpiece. Activate atimizer pointed away from you with a manual switch. Dont want to turn yourself into a fireball!

The only difference is the proof, my vodka was Absolut 100 proof, Everclear is what...180 proof?
Both are ethanol though the Everclear would be more flammable but I doubt an atomizer would set it to flaming.

This is my personal and speculative opinion but inhaling alcohol will give you not only an immediate high versus drinking it but it can also cause direct brain damage. It takes large alcohol consumption ton do this over a period of time but vaping it makes it directly goes to the brain as well in a fairly short amount of time. I've heard of these AWOL devices and I believe the brain damage factor was a strong issue with them as well. Since alcohol is a blood thinner I would urge extreme caution... OD'ing on it in that form would probably lead to even worse things before even becoming a lung issue.

I see no harm in putting a few drops of liquor to some liquid though, but if you're thinking of vaping it in some form on a grander scale, then again, I would urge extreme caution.
