Please, PLEASE help me... I don't know what's wrong

I would suggest instead of 100% vg, I would go with the 70% vg and 30% H2O. It thins the vg enough to let it wick better and I have felt much better since using that mix. I was using 80 vg/20 pg and it still hurt my throat.
Also, like others have said, drink alot of water, and avoid caffeine drinks as much as possible as caffeine will dehydrate you also. I either drink water of decaf tea most of the time, although I do have a cup or 2 of coffee in the morning, but after that it is water and decaf tea. That has really helped me.

I guess the Ce4 has gone through some revisions since i last used them. If you dont mind mangling one atty head up before you do anything else, try cutting the wicks (you can use scissors or a nail clipper) to just outside the opening, ie just leave maybe a millimeter sticking out. You will have to tilt your ecig while you vape if you do this as the wicks wont be down in the ejuice. Try this and let us know how it works.

One other thing you could try, if the above doesn't work, before you try to squeeze the metal flanges together, is to take that metal cone thingy out of the silicone cup and then put your mouthpiece (drip tip) on to push the cup down a bit more, this will also choke the silica wicks a bit. This might lead to a bit of leakage though fyi.

BTW your mouth sores are most likely from the hot vapor rather than from some allergy, I say this because when I was just starting out I too had similar issues and had mouth sores from the hot vapor (and stubborn refusal to stop using my ecig...)

If I remember correctly it is a silica sleeve around the coil to prevent shorts against the sidewalls. I used to take those out (carefully) since they tended to soak up juice and were generally a PITA to put back when I was rebuilding the coil heads.

If you want to remove that sleeve, take some cuticle scissors and make 4 cuts around your coil (try really hard not to touch the coil or wick) and then take tweezers to pull out the pieces. This really isn't a necessary thing though.

The thing on the coil is part of the coil. I actually pulled it apart on one of my coils and now the coil is shot. It looks weird, but it actually holds the coil assembly/wick in the head of the coil. I guess I'm explaining that correctly?

NOW THIS WILL BLOW YOUR MIND: I just dug out my first ecig that has been collecting dust. a 510 with a cartridge. Load my juice in there... NO BURNING!!! It doesn't vape worth a ...., which is why I never stuck with the 510, but it doesn't burn. So now W T F.

I took a brand new coil out and loaded it in my tank. This time I filled it up half way... got a couple dry hits along the way but now it's vaping if it turn it horizontally. It still burns but not half as bad. I think I'm just confusing myself even more on what the real problem is...my desk right now looks like a .... lab with all the liquid, batteries, tanks and cartridges... ...

one more thing, try this with your 510 attomizer (the part that is connected to the battery and gets pushed into the cart). Pull off the cart drip about 3 drops directly onto the atty, put the mouth piece back on and vape that, how is that?

edit: you can put the atty from the 510 onto your tornado (its an ego battery) battery

I'm beginning to wonder if the 510 cartridge isn't burning because it's not hitting worth a crap compared to my RCS tank and battery. If I take an extremely small hit from my RCS then it doesn't burn and I can taste the flavor, but the hit is so minute it doesn't even make me feel like I'm getting anything.

Update on RCS tank with brand new coil but this time only filled up half way:
I've been taking light to medium pulls on it for a number of minutes now. It's not burning like it was now but my mouth is super dry already and tingling. Beginning to wonder if a couple things are happening: 1) Vapor getting too hot for whatever reason 2) I am sensitive to PG or VG

I also cut the wicks on another one of my coils. Loaded it in another tank and the tank doesn't vape as well at all anymore, and doesn't burn as bad, but is still rough and makes me cough.

My mouth is tingling pretty darn good at this point. I think I'm going to call it quits on troubleshooting for now and head to pick up 100% PG and 100% VG tomorrow. I'll report back on how that works out. Thanks for the help everyone... I do appreciate it all.

No, I'm down to 12MG. I was originally at 18MG and changed to 12MG on the first weekend this burning thing started... it took a few days to get the new 12MG liquid in so I went back to analogs during that time. I got the 12MG in and everything was great... so I thought I just had too high of nic. Then that following sunday is when everything went to hell again (I started vaping the 12MG that Friday before).

Pg drys you out .. If/ when you can definitely get an kanger evod, 5.99.. the draw is so tight on that ce4 youve got.. that it sucks. Try unscrewing if from your battery as far as you can and Still make a connection, it will help it pull easier on the draw. And cooler with more air more vaporization instead of Saturation. Hard/ stiff draws pull more liquid in threw the wicks.

Well I would say drink some water, brush your teeth (seriously it helps) and just drip with the 510 atty. I don't really use clearomizers anymore, but I have heard a lot of good things about the protank (its a bottom coil so less heat).

For your 510 atty, you can cut off the closed end and just drip straight down that, or put a drip tip on it, if you have one.

Just to make sure, on the atty head that you cut, are tilting it as you vape? If not try that, the Ce4 were originally designed that way and they worked very well, then the newer revisions had long wicks so that people had the choice to cut or leave them alone. BTW with the cut wick head, you do have to twirl the tank around to get both sides wet.

Good luck, sorry I couldnt help more.

That is a good point, if you can open up the airflow a bit it should help with the heat.

All good info you've been given.

I too had/have some e-liquid issues, and have played around between using higher, then lower pg/vg, and have now determined that I most certainly have a pg sensitivity. So, I now use the highest vg blend, or the vg/distilled water. (MBV), but I think others may have it too.
I also really loved what I call the tart/citric tasting vapes. A mix of Amaretto and Green Apple/Spiced Apple Cider, with some Chocolate were my favorite all day vapes. I have narrowed it down to that also being a major part of the problem. I compare it to eating Jolly Rancher candies one after another, after another for a couple days straight. If you did that, you mouth would be very irritated. So maybe also try a blander e-liquid. I switched to a bakery type flavor and am doing very well with that, really no issues at all.
Since it's working for me, I thought it was at least worth mentioning.

Good luck, and you've certainly come to the right place for awesome support and info!
Hang in there!!

9/10/12 was my last stinkie, so almost 10 months for me! You'll get there, just don't give up! Everyone is here to help!:)
