    They can list it as red or green, hot or cold, kosher or organic all they want. It doesn't mean a thing. USP-NF lists WHAT that other .5 or .3% consists of, and that means everything.

    As an example, this is the standard approved by our local health dept. (for nicotine)
    10.3.2.1 Nicotine purity greater than or equal to 99.0%. Total combine of all other possible contaminants less than or equal to 1.0%;

    10.3.2.2 Cumulative heavy metals content cannot exceed 10ppm;

    10.3.2.3 Cumulative Arsenic content cannot exceed 1ppm;

    This one could get beat around....so.....Here' my info. I started in this E-Cig biz about 4 years ago before most of you even heard of it. I had DBA in Texas and was selling at the time the crappy cartridge types came out. I started right off also with the liquids and mixing. Did all the chem research and have, myself been vaping what I've been preaching. And!.....have been to a Doctor for a physical for blood test and upper respiratory check. Quote "Found no notable damage or effect from smoking or vaping" Blood pressure: 103/68. Blood test: no issues. That's 4 years of using the NOW products. VG with Totally Wicked's Platinum Ice (Herculean before the Ice)

    Did all the chem research

    What do you mean?

    Do you have concrete information that VG isn't harmful (other than anecdotal evidence)? If so, you might wanna consider releasing it.

    I mean, I'm in the mindset that it's not harmful really at all, but there isn't any proof. The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence, y'know?

    The research wasn't hard at all. Any search engine will put you to a 3rd party research lab result. OH...and list of all consumable products containing PG and VG. You'd be surprised (or not) as to what the human race has been eating and inhaling for the past 50 years that you never even knew about. Hay...the cigs didn't kill you before you switched to vaping......right?.....Don't worry about it. :D

    no matter what % of so called contaminants remain in PG or VG 99.9 % or more
    of that is water.
    regards

    Missing my point!
    USP-NF does not list grades with a bunch of adjectives like kosher, organic, or food grade, they list them by the purity %, and the contaminants they contain.

    Kosher or organic can mean anything a seller wants it to mean. (including pure junk)
    Pharma grade can mean anything the politicians want it to mean. (including the unattainable)

    We have only been inhaling vegetable glycerin for a very, very brief time (historically). Any previous inhalation of vegetable glycerin (pretty sure it's used in those air ionizer/atomizer things for inhale-able medicine, like for kids and stuff) was in VERY small quantities, nothing like the amount of VG I'm inhaling when I take a rip on my box mod at 50W.

    Not tryna argue, just saying that there is no evidence or lab result that'll dictate what we might find out down the line. Along with that is the undeniable fact that there is "USP Grade" and that's the only classification really. There is no VG that is approved for inhalation, whether by an independent lab or by a large government entity (cough, FDA, cough).

    Also people often mention, "Well it has been used in fog machines for years!" but fog machines don't actually use VG. While it does produce a thick, marvelous fog, it leaves residue behind. Also, if you ever get the chance, throw some straight VG in a fog machine. It'll sort of "leak" water out of the nozzle as it sprays the fog, sputtering and spitting all over the place. It's not an ideal solution for someone trying to fog a stage, or somewhere that people are going to be walking (let alone dancing or anything). "Fog Machine Fluid" is very different from vegetable glycerin.
