phantom smells after quitting vaping

So I quit vaping last year after a few.months of vaping. I have notice I am getting a phantom smell of what smells like the sweet vape smell but no one is vaping around me...does this make sense ? I don't smoke cigarettes either. This smell only happens if I sniff hard through my nose.

Cravin the vape.

I don't know if that's your problem, seeing as I'm not a doctor, but occasionally if I haven't vaped for a while I can actually taste/smell my favorite liquid.

I get the smell of smoke similar to a fireplace going out. I still vape but noticed it about a year into vaping.

Trying cupping your hands over your nose and breathing deeply. Ginger

Probably akin to feeling your cell phone vibrate when its not even near you. I know that smells can trigger a memory and vice versa.
