PG/VG ratios

I just stumbled upon the thread mentioning ITCvapes and their prices seem great, I wanna pick some 30ml's up from them for the price but. I gotta ask I'm vaping 'Shank berry' ATM and its 60VG/40PG and 'Port of Miami' which I'm not sure of the VG/PG ratio[their site lets you choose, the bottle I got from my vape shop doesn't state the ratio]

Anyway ITC seems to offer 50/50 or max VG, Would I notice a big difference going from the 60VG/40PG to a 50/50 blend? Some of these flavors sound delicious and at the price I'd love to buy a few to try, just not sure if a 50/50 would be a killer part of if I'd enjoy them or not?

It depends on what you like, 50/50 is good for tanks and clearo's, If pg dont bother you your fine. Many prefer max vg for dripping and clouds. Max vg is a little thicker. I am not sure if they use distilled water to thin out the vg or not.

I'm gonna guess to agree with the two earlier posters, I'm BRAND NEW to it, just got my kit last night eGo 1100mAh Premium Starter Kit [Green Matte/Green Case] - $25.97 : EasyVapors.com, Electronic Cigarette Refills E Liquid but I got it in person (and red :p ,) so I'm on basic equipment ATM so a 50/50 shouldn't be too much different then a 60/40 for my gear right now I'm assuming?

Most make them to the same viscosity AFAIK (mix my own mostly so can't be 100%) many seller don't even sell VG on it's own but sell AG instead which is VG mixed with around 10-15% water. They wouldn't get many repeat orders if their juice was too thick to wick in non drippers.

beware these typically need to steep 2-3 weeks before vaping as they are made to order.

As cheap as ITC is you could do a $10 (plus shipping) trial and buy one of each and mix them. Should get you close. Many max VG blends are 80% vg 20% flavoring which is predominantly Pg in most cases. If these ratios hold up when mixed you would have a 65/35 VG heavy bend. However if you bought a max vg blend you could always add 3-5 drops of distilled water per tank to thin for wicking purposes. Max VG in a tank will lead to some dry hits.

And 50/50 from 60vg/40vg will give you slightly more throat hit as this typically comes from pg, and more importantly your nicotine level. SO while it will be different it will be minimal. You will also see a bit of vapor reduction as this comes more from VG. Not that it will be less satisfying or anything.

I'm using 18mg on my first two bottles that I bought Sunday, (smoking a pack a day of Marlboro Menthol) Just looking for insight etc what to get, and after seeing the prices there I could wait to steep a bottle or two from them.

If you are vaping 18mg the pg/vg wont matter much. won't be as cloudy or smooth. I like how slick a high vg liquid feels. But as far throat hit goes, no worries.

Hmm I had my mothers milk "upped to 18mg nic" at my local B&M, and out of my Naut mini its so smooth, actually if I hit it a certain way I feel no throat hit and blow out a similar to a cigarette drags worth of vape. This shi, stuffs so confusing to a beginner :p

I prefer 70 or 60% PG--I don't tolerate high VG levels.
Ah thank you for the input, I've heard certain setups clog with high VG, but then again I'm assuming you personally don't prefer/your body doesn't accept higher VG? I'm just trying to take in any and all info I can, as I just started out here, and with vapes in general.

All you have to do to fix a high vg mix in most cases is add Distilled water to the tank. So for instance in my nautilus mini i would fill it and add 3-5 drops of DW per tank full and it would wick fine. Versus Katya's personal preference/body. I always pick juices based on flavor. If i like it i will figure out a way to vape it lol

Correct. I can't vape 100% VG no matter what. I tried diluting it with DW, still no go. For me, it's not a matter of viscosity but rather pure VG not agreeing with me.

What clogs the coils the most are all those other additives (flavorings, sweeteners, colorings etc.) added to our e-liquids. The darker and sweeter the juice, the faster your coils will gunk up. I vape mostly clean and clear juices, with just a hint of flavor, and my coils last for days if not weeks between cleanings.
