Pg or vg nicotine for a beginner

For a beginner diy'er what is best for starting out. Vg nicotine or pg nicotine

I started with vg but had to add distilled water to make it thin enough. I now have pg nicotine on the way to try
Then I also have pg and vg bing shipped so I can use those I believe to get the consistency right if I am correct.

What is a safe formula to use. 50pg/50 vg or would I be doing 70/30

I like pg base nic its much easier to draw into a needle.

I buy 48mg pg base and mix it with vg. Vg is way easier to get then pg is why I do it that way. Just about any drug store will carry vg here.

I like 50/50. Huge clouds and not too thick.

I use 100% VG ( not diluting the VG ). Last week I made 40PG/60VG.....today I made 20PG/80VG. It all depends on your personal preference.

Remember more PG has a better throat hit....more VG has more vapor.

Here is a simple formula that I use for making 50% PG / 50% VG e-liquid that is 18mg Nic

This formula is based on using 60mg Nic unflavored PG: . .120 ml of 60 mg Flavorless Nicotine Liquid

25 ml . . . . . 50% . . . . . Unflavored USP Glycerin . . . . . . . " . .VG
15 ml . . . . . 30% . . . . . Unflavored Nicotine PG - 60mg . . " . . PG
10 ml . . . . . 20% . . . . . Flavoring . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .PG

50 ml Total E-liquid

I get my nicotine in PG, but, I get 100mg so that I don't have to use much at all to get the strength I want in my juice. For instance, if making a 10ml bottle, I use .8 ml of nicotine to reach 8mg in my juice. That leaves me more room for the other stuff. I typically mix my juices at 20PG/80VG so that .8ml figures into my final product.

If you use 100mg nicotine, you must follow the safety precautions. I use gloves, in an open area, and eye protection when I mix. I always put my nicotine in first so I can close up the bottle and put it away before moving on (less chance that I will knock it over).

What you need to know about PG Vs. VG is:

More VG produces more cloud and less throat hit
More PG produces less cloud and more throat hit.
50/50 is the best of both worlds.
PG is a better flavor desolver then VG
Needing more flavor for VG then PG is a rumor and not true, Because VG is thicker and less a flavor desolver then PG flavoring needs more time to disburse through VG (Steeping) then through PG but will taste the same using the same flavor percentage for either.

So the choice should be made based on the ratio of the base.

75PG/25VG buy PG NIC
25PG/75VG buy VG NIC
50/50 it don't matter
