Well now that I've realized I'm allergic to something - PG? VG? Dunno yet! I got to wondering why some ppl (like myself) are allergic to the nicotine patch.
There's not much in it:
ethylene vinyl acetate-copolymer, polyisobutylene and high density polyethylene between clear polyester backings
yet I for one itched like a madwoman from them. Could it be the nicotine itself? Okay to smoke, not okay to absorb via skin..and..dare I say it..not okay to vape?

I just did a VG test on my elbow - no prob there. Now I'm doing a PG-VG on the other arm - nothing happening. I guess whichever one is bothering me is fine on my skin but not fine inhaled. So frustrating.

The patch is highly concentrated nicotine, and the 24 hour one, is higher again, but, there is no telling how quickly your skin could be absorbing it.

Spill a little juice on your hands and I would be willing to bet, you feel heat very quickly.

As topaz says you could have a reaction to the adhesive used on the plaster, that one is a common allergy.

VG and PG do affect people to begin with, its only natural, I know when I first started to vape I had the runs and heartburn nearly all the time, but my body adjusted, just as it did when I started smoking... remember the nausea and dizzy spells we all endured to begin with....lol

I changed from PG to VG, which in turn made me cough...lol

These days I vape a mix 80 -20 pg to vg and I am fine..

My life went crazy throughout July and I went back to smoking for a while. Meanwhile I had switched from pg to vg, and I've been using the VG this week and last. Again, I am starting to itch, but it's not as bad as with the pg. It probably needs to build up in my system a bit. Also, the same knuckle and toe cramps as with the pg. (Taking Potassium has helped). So, it seems I am allergic to both. I am going to try to control (ha ha) or lessen (ha ha) how often I vape and see if I can keep the symptoms at bay. What a disappointment if it turns out I really can't vape!
