You should follow this example

Aligning:
The cartridge and mouthpiece should be aligned properly to reduce the chances of melting the sides of the cart. Although it's not obvious, there is a proper way to attach the mouthpiece to the atomizer. The atomizer bridge should be perpendicular to the long sides of the mouthpiece. If you look inside the atomizer, you'll see a shape at the bottom that resembles the shape of the mouthpiece. Match those directions when inserting the mouthpiece into the atomizer. See the photo below as an example:

I did the same thing with my 801 trying to get the dreaded primer fluid out, and learned that I shouldn't have twisted the paper towel! *facepalm* I used a pair of sharp tweezers and got as much as I could out. It worked really well after 20min of fishing! Still, there were fibers everywhere although it still beats smoking an analog tho! (gives it that smokey taste too! :p)

best way for ME is to NOT use ppr towels. If ur near a $store, grab a pack of balloons. Put the mouth end of balloon on either end of atty after blowing up, then deflate the balloon by letting the air escape only thru the atty opening, then do other side, wipe connection and vape away....it sounds lengthy but Ive found its simple and quite effective in cleaning out an atty. Just an idea, nnot for everyone but works well for me. :)

works well after rinsing attys too...gets em dry in about 3-4 inflates. dry enough to vape again w/out waiting for em to dry overnite or using a blowdryer....

I feel like I use that much air, if not more, when trying to clean them. So I'll definitely test that out, thanks! :D

I like to use a can of moisture free compressed air to blow it out from the threaded side of the 501. I just kind of hold the two together and blast it a couple times.

On the 801's I actually removed the guts from a battery, cut it in half leaving the threads along with about an inch of battery casing, then inserted a mouth piece into the new opening with the tube from the compressed air can forced into the mouthpiece hole. This makes a nice tight seal and when it's threaded to an atomizer it blows out everything. 501 can't do this but the canned air still works great for me.

Compressed "Canned" air also has all kinda of nice things inside of the can that leave a thin risudue if you don't hold the can completely up right. Read the label.

well I don't know anything about that,,, but I do know that blowing atties out with a hard force of air no matter where it is coming from could kill your atty almost instantly.... if it hasn't yet then you should get a loto ticket ..if you know what I mean

The residue from canned air evaporates quickly so that wouldn't be an issue. Basically the stuff that squirts out is just what is used to shoot out the compressed air. It's really really cood, but if you get it on anything you'll notice it disappears almost instantly as it evaporates.

Whether or not there is any left after it evaporates, well, I don't know for sure, lol.

Just so were clear...

The gas inside a can of "Canned Air" is actualy not air. It varies from manufacture to manufacture but it is more of a free-on(sp?) type gas used in refridgeration systems.

I have used some "canned air" that is very clean and I have used so that isn't. A good test is to turn the can upside down and spray a piece of clean glass.
