When I don't have time for full cleaning and just want to unblock my Atty for quick reuse I do the following.
I use an air pipe (dry air) that fits over the hole at the bottom of the atty snugly.
All I do is turn the air on and get it to quite a low pressure (high enough to have an effect, not to high or it may damage the wick/bridge etc) then stick this on the hole at the back.
Point the atty downward and leave it like this for around 30 seconds till most of the oil has finished dripping out.
Take some paper towel and use that to absorb whatever is left inside the atty (roll the paper up, stick into the atty, do not twist or paper gets stuck to the bridge)
Plug back onto a battery and dry burn about 5 times.
Blow out with the air for about 2 seconds to remove any burn off.
Back to normal resistance and TH within about 2 minutes.
I also do this before cleaning atty's as described in various posts on this forum. Saves several repetitions.
