Pack a day analoger to new vaper

Hey all,

Just started vaping last tuesday after a 31 year, pack a day, tobacco hitch. Thought vaping was a gimmick when I first heard about it several years ago, but having failed going cold turkey for the umpteenth time several months ago I thought I would give at a go.

Did some research and settled on a ego-c starter kit...made a total noob mistake and forgot to buy some juice to go with it and almost went back to analogs.

So far, no desire for a ciggy...I think this might work.

Welcome mistchance! I'm thrilled to hear that you have made the transition after 31 years! I'd suggest getting a higher MG liquid (25mg) from how much you had been smoking. Hold on! It's possible your body may feel a little icky, this would be due to the thousands of horrible chemicals in cigarettes that have built up in your system. Drink plenty of water, try to maintain somewhat of a healthy balanced diet, and stay positive! Hold on! You'll start to feel the tremendous positive difference within weeks.

Best of luck to you my friend!

Love and Light,

Elvis

Thank you all for the warm welcome...friendly crowd here!

Thrasher...hopefully, I'm not even tempted...but I feel so much better already, I hope I would puke if I tried one again.

it will bite ya sooner or later that urge comes back but don't fret if ya have one, always focus on how many weren't smoked not how many you smoked when you slip.

Keep your self on track by downloading one of the banners that keep track of the time, money saved and number of cigarettes you have not smoked. I check mine several times a day when the urge starts to hit. And yes! crank up the juice to 24 to start and come down slowly. Some failures are caused by too much reduction...too soon.

Congratulations on quitting mistchance & welcome to ECF!

(It appears your username does not apply with vaping as you didn't miss your chance to quit smoking here!)

Since I've started vaping and discussing it here on ECF, I've already amassed some knowledge:

first lesson learned...a starter kit with 5 1ml sample tanks probably won't last you thru a major holiday week

second, it takes a while to figure out the right juice strength/vape frequency to keep yourself in balance.

third, the lure of the analog is always there to pull you down.

finally, my username is a really lame

Seriously, thanks for comments guys. You've guys have done it, so I'm here to listen and learn.

Lol on forgetting the juice! I'm sure that won't happen again.

lol just wait. couple weeks go by and you light a smoke and almost puke, thinking holy crap did they dip this in brake fluid? good luck and VAPE ON..............

I did that. I was having some trouble with my vivi after 2 weeks and had a smoke. It was disgusting, but more like it was dipped in rancid brake fluid that had been left in a dirty ashtray full of butts for a week and then strained through a dirty sweat sock lol
