This is my first experience with absolute...it is diluted 50%; so what ratio of any tobacco recipe should I use....if Im just using tobacco flavoring, malto and the absolute for a 10ml batch and 10% is allotted to flavor...what am I looking at as far as absolute percentage to flavoring... I just started mixing. Thanks ahead for the help.

Well I made my first tobacco blend today and tbh absolutly hate it... Used perfumers apprentice tobacco flavor at 10% and 1 drop of tobacco absolute diluted...tastes like the smell of floral perfume..Not sure if perfumers apprentice got the tobacco flavor wrong or mixed up as the flavoring does not smell or taste like tobacco. Wont use TPA tobacco flavor again.. Everything else I ordered from them smells and tastes as expected.

...tastes like the smell of floral perfume...

Let it set for about a week and try it again. It may show some improvement by then. Tobacco flavors take some time to 'assimilate' into the base liquid and reveal their true taste.

That said, I bought some PA Tobacco flavoring in April. To me, it was very light on tobacco and very heavy on Ethyl Maltol. I used it in combination with Flavourart tobacco flavoring when I made RY4-type recipes, rather than as a stand-alone flavoring.

perfumy taste could be the Ethyl Maltol. I saw you mentioned Maltol.

My PA TA has no kind of perfumy tatse whatsoever.

Dont give up on it just yet. Take the ehtyl maltol out of the mix and see what you think.

The tobacco flavor itself had the perfumy smell and taste...I think it may have gome bad during shipping..The maltol I was going to use is actually cotton candy flavor...only 1 drop. The absolute actually smelled like tobacco...its been in the mid 90's here all week so thinkn maybe the heat got to it..

Just recieved an email response from TPA and have to say am very happy with results...the tobacco flavoring does have a slight perfumey scent/taste to it...so they are sending me the DK tobacco base blend, which doesn't. So I ordered more flavors as well. So hopefully here in a few days I'll be back to trying to create my first successful tobacco vapes!

I tried the TPA Absolute Tobacco(alc) last week. It smells sort of like the sweet fruity raisin smell that a fresh pack of Marlboros has. When vaped it tasted a lot like other tobacco flavors.

The TH and aftertaste is where it got my attention, it has a good nasty analog aftertaste that is fairly realistic. I don't usually use tobacco flavors, but someone asked for it, and I mixed a batch. Not bad.

I used it one day when the analogs were calling me back and it helped a lot with the cravings. The alcohol base makes a good TH, and the nasty analog aftertaste is interesting.

It is a strong flavor tho. My notes have me on the strong flavor side at 3 drops per 5ML using all VG PI, and a note to use less on bigger batches where a reduction of one drop does not equal a 33% loss of flavor.

I wouldn't go out of my way for this one, but I will not be tossing it out.
