So accidentally left my batteries charged overnight 2 trustfire 18350 900mah 3.7V on a li-ion hzs-002 battery universal charger. put them in my vamo v5 and get the low V sign meaning low battery. When i try to recharge i get the green light like its fully charged. Was wondering if anyway has had this problem. Im guessing i either need new batteries or new chargers or worse case scenario both. If so can anyone recommend good short batteries, personally i dont really like the bigger batteries cause the vamo is too heavy.

Have you checked the batteries voltage with something other than the wamo to determine whether they're charged or not.
Cleaned the battery contact areas on / inside the tube lately?

got nothing else to use the batteries on unfortunately. havent cleaned em or inside the tube, whats the safe way to go about that?

If you don't have any other use for an inexpensive multimeter my suggestion of getting one may seem extravagant but you might find several uses for one in vaping.

Clean the positive contact inside with a qtip & rubbing alcohol or gently with a pencil eraser, the bottom cap threads are the negative contact
qtip rubbing alcohol will work there too, be sure to dry the areas well.

yeah they are the stock batteries that came along with the kit. so all im looking for are the 18350 right?

I would recommend a good charger, I paid $12 for my 2 bay Nitecore Intelicharger on a deal, they can be had cheap and they are proven performers, and a couple of quality batteries. In my experience/opinion, the most important investment in your vaping is quality batteries and a quality charger. With the rising popularity of vaping, both quality IMR batteries and inteligent chargers can be had very reasonably priced, and they will last you a good long time.

... and please, do yourself a favor and get better batteries. In 18350, the best for all around use is AW IMR. I've also grown quite fond of the Efest purple IMR, the red Efest are junk.

I've heard the purple batts are better than the red ones. How are the purple better? And how long do they last you vaping with them?

The red Efest start to drop off voltage a lot faster than both the purple and the AW, like within 10-20 pulls on a mech, even around 1.4-1.7ohms. And on top of that, they don't hold a charge. I'm always careful not to overcharge nor over discharge my batteries, use good chargers and rotate all my batteries, so I know it's not me, I still have some AW IMR's going strong since December 2012. As far as the purple, I really can't tell much of a difference between them and the AW's, other than I can use them for .7-.8ohm dual coils no problem in 18350.

Is that 490 the exact same size as the 500's? Are they any better or worse than the 500's?

In theory, the numbers are diameter, length and shape. 18mm diameter, 49/50mm length and the last 0 for "round battery". In practice, both diameter and length may vary slightly from one model to another.

Can't say by how much, but my purple Efests 18500s are a couple of hairs longer than my AW 18490s. May be exactly a millimeter as intended, for all I know. My calipers are shot :(

Watt, thanks for that explanation of what the numbers mean. My eFest 18500's work well, the 18350's not so much. I bought a cheap caliper the other day and I'm so happy it's only about 1 mm wrong. :D

18490 & 18500 are interchangeable, they are esentially the same thing. I've only seen AW's in 18490, not 18500, but I may be wrong. I think it's just a matter of what they deside to write on the label at the time of production, since they are the same cell.

As far as Efest, the red IMR's, I've bought 14500 and 18350 and was disapointed with both. I have now 4 purple 10.5amp Efest 18350 and like them as much as my AW IMR 18350's. Maybe more since I can use them for lower resistance dual coil builds. The purple Efest 18350 is all I use in my epipemod and my Aqua/Origin hybrid. I run my AW IMR's in my Provari mini, since it requires nipple top, and on my Nemesis with a hybrid adapter, since it's the perfect lenght for it.
