I have two more bags in the vape closet, as well as a bag of 'Puffs' cotton that got good reviews from vapers on Amazon. Haven't tried it yet.
I channeled my inner weeaboo one time and tried the Puff's. ;)

Honestly KGD would easily suit me for life but wicking is a cheap way to try something new.
I've honestly thought about trying those COTN threads with the ends on them you guys are talking about. I use mostly single coilers, so a pack of those would go a long way too.

I don't even really thin/fluff that much these days though either since I'm using mostly squonkers/RDAs. Pretty much nip/tuck and I'm good to go. I don't vape high enough wattages where I need extreme capillary action.

Those do look VERY convenient though if you are in a hurry or feeling lazy. I would probably give them a try if I started using RTAs more regularly.

It's not worth the bother these days, fun to dig out the old gear and spend a half hour working out hot spots...
I always wanted a Blackwood so I could try my hand at a quad mesh build. :w00t:

Keeping the skills of that lost art finely honed.
Those style of tanks are much better looking than today's tanks. Sometimes I wish mtl had worked out better for me, I'd probably have a collection of beautiful attys by now. Of course I would also be cussing small decks as well and muttering that I wished dl worked for me.

They do spoil you. I'm betting I'll order more in the future. FT has some similar but I really like this brand.

Juice lasted a lot longer back then too. ;) I still run the Rose V2 with salts, awesome flavor tank but a royal PiTA to build.

Oh cool, yeah, looks exactly like the bag I got.

Have you tried them? I'm guessing as long as it's organic cotton like it claims, I probably won't know the difference over KGD.
Used them for quite a while before switching to Rayon, they worked perfectly. Some claim to taste a difference between Puffs/Muji/KGD but I couldn't, they all have that wet T Shirt taste at the start for me.

Passed the remaining half bag along to a buddy and he recently ordered another one.

Oh I use to dig those ceramic wicks in my gennys and the bodens were da bomb!! I still have a hot wrap video on utube

ReadyxWick, welcome to 2014!
Dig out your gennys and wick em up with a boutique version of EkoWool. :D

I still have some of Boden's BD13 Sintered Alumina (Al2O3) wicks if you want to give them a try. They would work quite nicely in your Kraken, but you have to hot wrap the coil while torching the wire and wick . ;)

This is the box of CVS sterile cotton I bought 5 yrs ago. Barely put a dent in it, and that's all I use. Not to mention maybe only using half of what I cut off, since I don't even bother with the uneven parts. I cut my wicks off the solid/uniform pieces and trash what won't make a nice wick. It's still gonna last several lifetimes.

Far as those other materials are concerned, maybe there might be a taste or wicking benefit but...

In 2015-16 I got two bags of muji and one bag of KGD from Amazon. I'm still working through the first bag of KGD. Tried the muji as well, wicks fine.

Needless to say it's at the very bottom of my restocking list.
How are you using dual builds and go through less KGD than I do? I think my last bag of KGD lasted around 8-9m.

Sorry, wasnt clear. I started with muji, used over half a bag them switched to KGD. Still working to the bottom of it. I can't say which is really better. They both work fine. The shoelace stuff looks cool, but I can't justify the cost just to avoid making a point to slide through the coil and then fluffing. I'm lazy, but not quite that bad. Yet.

When cotton started cvs sterile is all I used and it was good...I'm using rayon now, but I don't think there's all that much difference

But you don't have to thin or comb the tails either Eskie. ;)
