Odd taste with 50/50 juice question

Hey all.

I have 10 samples of a few different vendor's juices here in front of me. All are fruit or dessert flavors. I picked up 3 cheap 510 bridgeless atty's to use on my MVP 2 for taste testing before I commit to filling up a tank. All of the juices I tried via the atty's tasted either soapy or had a strange (to me) aftertaste like burnt popcorn or butter. I did forget to wash out the atty's at first and all I could taste was I believe primer fluid. Even after cleaning them-trying 3-5 drops of juice-cleaning again-trying different juice-cleaning again...etc., I can still taste something in all of the 50/50 juices that I just don't like. Not sure how to really describe it other than soapy taste in some and the popcorn or buttery taste in others. The ONLY juice I have that I like is a 100% VG melon flavored juice. It's been my ADV for 10 days.

The atty's I was using are all short. About the length of a standard drip tip.

Am I doing something wrong here with the atomizers? Is that odd taste I dislike PG. I don't have enough taste testing experience to really decide if I should keep on trying juices with a PG/VG mix or just stick with just VG juices.

Any advice would be great.

PG and VG taste very similar to me, except that VG is slightly sweeter.

It may be that the juice needs to steep, or it may just be nasty - or it might be your taste buds gone wonky from tasting too much

You might be right on all counts AmandaD. I did let it all steep for about a week, and I've only been smoke free 10 days so I know my buds are fried. Might just be that the juices I tried are all nasty.

Revisit them in a month - you may be pleasantly surprised
