nr-r-nr Wire Size Question

I have a question I hope you good folks might be able to help me out with. I recently have acquired a few rebuildables that require nr-r-nr wires. I use the twist by hand method and am using 32 ga Kanthal for r wire and purchased some silver for the nr wires. This is working fine for my 1.4 to 1.5 ohm single coil builds. Problem is silver is very soft and tends to break once in a while. I'm asking if anyone has experience with with nr nickel and what size (gauge) would work well twisted with 32 ga kanthal?

A similar gauge NR wire is what you should use. If you are using 32 gauge Kanthal, then 30 or 32 gauge should work fine.
