I started vaping as a form of harm reduction. I was concerned with consuming too much nicotine. So, over the past year, I have slowly lowered my nic content to 0mg and 3mg.

I use the 3mg to satisfy any nic urges and I use the 0mg just to vape for the sake of vaping. Beyond that, any other concerns of mine would require that I quit vaping. At this time, I have no such plans to quit.

Your liver does cleanse nicotine from your body. However, if you smoke, it has to contend with the 4,000 or so other substances in cigarette smoke. That's what overworks your liver. Actually, it can do a much better job with nicotine and other stimulants like caffeine, once you remove all of the other chemicals in cigarette smoke from it's duties.

I'm not a doctor, but I do play one on TV.

Actually, it's worth noting (I'm not a doctor, but I have a rather thorough understanding of drugs and their effects on the body), the liver is FANTASTIC at repairing itself. There are cases where people wrecked their livers in a matter of days/weeks/months by taking too much acetaminophen (....'s terrible for your liver), and months later were scanned to find that their livers had fully repaired themselves.

Granted there are no complications (like, pretty much as long as you don't have hepatitis), even if vaping WAS harmful for your liver (which it's probably not), your body would most definitely be able to contend with whatever damage it was causing.

The liver's a tough one.

If you are concerned about your liver, get some Milk Thistle at the drug store and take it daily. I helps cleanse and heal the liver. I give it to all my dogs who are on meds to keep their livers safe from the side effects. Works just as well for people.

So, in other words, GO STEELERS?
