My wife and son have been vaping for 2 months and have not once touched analogs, other than to chuck them in the garbage. Personally I don't smoke or vape so I post on their behalf, which also benefits me since I get to see my them living a healthier life. They started of with the ego-T and gave those up after 1 month for various reasons, and they now use the ego battery with the Boge cartos which have turned out to be much cheaper that the ego atties. The cartos are costing only $1.25 each (from China) including postage, and are lasting from 3 to 7 days.
I know I'm a gasbag I get a bit carried away, so here's my question. I have a 30ml bottle of 24mg juice which neither of them enjoys since it smells and tastes (if that's the word) really bad. They have tried mixing it with other juices without success. They were going to throw it out, when fortunately I remembered that nicotine was a good bug killer. I do organic gardening, and in the past I have used nicotine butts soaked in water and used as a spray on ant hills and bugs in my flower patch, and it has worked really well. Since my tobacco .... source no longer exists I intend to use the bad juice and experiment with different dilutions starting with a 20 to 1 water mixed in a spray bottle. I was hoping somebody on ECF has tried this and could advise me what a suitable dilution would be and whether it worked.
Thanks
Manc

I pour unvapable juice on ant hills....works like a charm. I will try some on my vegetable plants this summer...I hope it works better than store bought bug spray. I just hate tomato worms...ICK!. I'll try to post in mid July on my findings (hopefully no worms).

Thanks hairball, please post your results. BTW what do you mean by "no worms"? I have a spot in my garden where I've been growing them since they are great for the soil. I also live on the river and the bass also enjoy them. LOL.

LOL.....I'm talking about the big green horned tomato worms that eat your plants up. I hate those darn things. Never fails, when I see a ripe one and go for it, I always see a green tomato worm nearby...just gives me the willy's.

Thanks for explaining that. I just finished planting all my veg seeds, and I will try the spray on the vegetable area when I start to see the bugs. I have a few of raised boxes, so I'll need lots of unvapable ejuice.

I have a feeling those caterpillars will be resistant to nicotine!

Just curious manc, what flavors are they?

The 30ml juice which is unvapable came from an order I placed about one month ago. It was my suppliers own mix (I prefer not to name him). I sent him an email and told him how bad it was and he thanked me for telling him. I just checked out his web page and noticed that he no longer sells his special mix.

OK my mistake. I just rechecked his webpage and the bad juice is still available. I guess some people must like it.

I was going to mention I would be willing to take 10ml off your hands to try in exchange for 10ml of Blackberry (that I cannot stand). If Blackberry tasted bad for you, you would still have the same amount of bug juice.

Sorry to drag this thread up from the dead, but it came to mind while I was trying to weed my vegetable garden/strawberry patch yesterday and discovered I that they have been infested with ants. I do have a bunch of old juice that I could use, or the method of soaking old analog butts in water to spray on the ants, but I was just curious about whether or not this effects the plants at all. The ants are eating up all of my strawberries and are all over the leaves, so would it kill the plants to spray them or their roots? Also I have 2 small kids to worry about, so obviously I wouldn't spray the strawberries that we will eat incase the nicotine gets absorbed, but would there be any chance of the roots/leaves of the plants absorbing the nicotine? I am not really sure what to do about it, I hate the idea of using toxic chemicals from pesticides, but I don't want to do any harm to my kids by using nicotine. Any advice appreciated, maybe an alternate method?

Yes, nicotine works (it's a pesticide), tho because I have no kids or pets around to worry about I've tried pure and 100mg, but I applied direct to ant hills, wasp nests, mice dens. Unflavoured is better (as is high strength) to not further attract other pests. And yes, it "can" be absorbed into the plants via root system and/or folliage, but whether it retains a toxic level is anyones guess.

If you have kids around, I'd opt out of using nitotine.... especially on fruit baring plants (kids will be kids, and when you not looking.... they'll eat it in the blink of an eye, lol), and just stick to those store traps.

lelly, lots of information can be obtained if you google "organic gardening, nicotine, tobacco juice etc. So far this growing season the bugs have not been a problem, so I didn't yet get a chance to use a nicotine juice spray.
On the same subject......... Since we never seem to have enough hours in the day to get everything done, and if you have a lawn and do a lot of grass cutting, here's a way to save a lot of time..........The alcohol used for cleaning atties etc. should not be discarded and used in the following way..........Mix alcohol with water at a ratio of approx 100 to 1 and spray the lawn every couple of months.................That way the grass comes up half cut.............I apologise for that.
