Hi just come to say I am a new vaper who is switching from the stinkies after smoking since I was about 12 yrs old, now I am 43 and so far everything is great. My first unit was a Joyetech eGo AIO but I have to say I am not pleased with it! Although the 2 coils I got with it lasted for about 5 days each I am only getting about 2 days out of the replacements! I tried both .6 ohm and 1.0 ohm. This really sucks! Why should the replacements .6 ohm not last as long as the .6 ohm that came with the unit? Me thinks they are making replacement coils so that they don't last.
So anyway I ended up going to my local vape shot to see what they had to offer and ended up buying a smok Q-Box. I hope I can get a week or longer out of the coils for it.

Welcome to the ECF U2Desire.

Coil life can Vary Greatly depending on Design, Wattage Used, Amount of Airflow, and probably the Biggest - How Heavily Flavored/Sweetened your e-Liquids are.

You might want to Keep going like your are going to get some Time under your belt since quitting. But also be looking into a Tank where you can Build your Own Coils.

Building your own coils is Much Cheaper, tend to Last Longer, and usually give a Better Hit.

There is an issue with the Joyetech AIO.

It's a simple problem that the fully charged battery vapes the 0.6ohm coils just a little too hard.

They are rated (meh... more 'rating' BS) as 15-28w. That rating is wrong, as they can't do 28w for long, maybe not at all depending on juice.

0.6ohms with a 4.2v battery is too high... hence premature burn out.

I buy the 0.6ohm coils from China for $5.82. They are 1) reliable 2) near the top for taste and 3) last a good while every time, no failures ever.

I use them in a Cubis tank at 14-22w and NEVER higher.

The 1.0ohm are not really suitable (not enough power) and the other coils are just an epic fail.

I just don't get why the 2 coils it came with lasted 2.5x longer and believe me that first 10 days I was chain vaping trying to avoid smoking another stinkie.

I bought 6 bloody packs of the 1.0 coils thinking that would get me 5 months or so without needing to place another order. Oh well I will use them and either switch to .5 ohm as was suggested in another thread I found via Google or just stick with the Smok Q-Box only. Better yet I will keep the Joyetech for when I go out fishing this summer and use the other the rest of the time.

I don't disagree, but your theory about less good coils is not true.
I don't even like Joyetech much and I love a conspiracy, but it's not happening here.
It'll be a juice or state-of-charge or even an inhale inconsistency.
Anyway... it's not a mod for long-term prospects, so you've done the right thing. :)

Welcome and glad you joined.I build my own RDA coils with rayon wicks. By "coils not lasting", you may be talking about the wicks loading up and giving you poor taste. With an RDA, it takes me a minute to replace my wick at practically zero cost.
My coil(s) lasts for months (I usually inadvertently break them by improper handling).
