Ok, I like the menthol quik e-cig's (available at Sheetz gas stations) as well as the blue. I can't keep buying the disposables but they don't sell cartridges at the store. I'd really like to find something that I can refill if that is an option and some nice menthol juice. I don't know anything about vaping either.

I mostly use the cig's while at the computer so if there is a vaporizer that isn't portable that is fine (inexpensive is best) but I want to go as cheap as possible and don't mind spending some time refilling cartridges or whatever with juice.

So with that being said can someone give me an idea of what I should be looking for? I would spend more time reading through these forums but I'm already over-whlemed by all the posts I just don't know where to start.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Welcome to ECF and the world of vaping.

One option would be to get an eGo passthrough battery and some cartomizers. The battery should run about $20.00, you can charge it while vaping and also take it with you when you're on the go. Get a box of low-resistance cartomizers, like Boge or Smoktech, some juice and you're good to go.

Thanks. I'm reading them but I have the feeling that unless I ask I'm going to over-look some options which might be the best for me. If there are 10 different options and I pick #3, maybe that is no where near #8 but I just didn't know about it or see it - so that's why I'm deferring to the pro's on this board.

If anyone needs computer help I'll be happy to lend a hand!

Welcome to ECF! I am new too, and I ordered a kGo kit. I am really liking it so far, And may be a good choice for you. If you are wanting something small like a cigarette, I have heard the Volt is an optioin that people like. I haven't looked into that much though. I am using Boge 2.0ohm cartos and will be trying SmokeTech 1.7 . I have no suggestions for menthol juices though...

If you go through the tutorials for beginners here on the site, you will learn quite a bit without having to weed through a million posts. Good luck finding what works for you!

Personally I would start (and did) with an eGo-T or an eGo-C (the c is a newer version and a little more expensive at first but cheaper to maintain). Decent battery life, connects to tons of things. As far as menthol juice you might want to go with one of the major brands as they will be the closest to what you have been using. Dekang Menthol isn't terrible and very cheap, Joye-tech's Menthol is decent but more expensive.

I REALLY recommend getting a drip tip as well. You will want to try new flavors but this is NOT easy with tanks or cartos. Try a 306 LR atomizer and a Derelin 306 drip tip or a 510 LR atomizer and a standard drip tip. Then it's just a matter od dripping two drops into the hole to try a new flavor.

As far as where to get them.... shop around... some common starting points are Greenhouse-one (long shipping but cheap prices), Good Prophets (fast shipping, decent prices), Mad-Vapes (tons of stuff, fair prices and shipping). Also check the thread call "Deals and Steals" for sales.

If you have questions, the forum is always here!

Cheap as possible but a decent tool for the price, I'd recommend a KR808 system, a 2 piece systme (look like the regular cigarettes, mostly). If you like the gas station disposables, you will find the actual batteries much better.

Just a note, those Blu disposables are around 24mg nicotine, which was way too much for me. But, might be perfect for you.

Check out kits that give you a minimum of two batteries. One to vape, while the other charges. An additional battery for backup is a good thing to have, as well.

Kit prices vary depending upon the vendor you go to, same with quality. I have the expensive batteries, and I have really cheap batteries, and I have the "just right" batteries in the middle. As my signature might suggest, I prefer the batteries from Smokeless Image. Excellent KR808 batteries, available in lots of colors, two lengths, and two switch types - auto and manual. My first recommendation for a kit from them is the Standard, which provides two batteries, the basic charging system, and a pack of cartomizers. If you like them, then move up to a Pro kit, which offers a couple more batteries and a pcc (portable charging case). I like getting the kits, prices are usually slightly better than ala carte selecting. Once you find you like something, then move to the refilling and liquids options. I think their cartomizers are reasonable, but there are carto's available from lots of places. I like the flavors better from Smokeless Image for the pre-filled carto's.

There is a simple passthrough KR808 battery available from Smokeless Image which is not "portable" but if you get it (available in the Premium Kit or ala carte), don't plug it directly into your computer, use a separate USB hub with a 1.5A output or better, or use the 1.5A wall charger available separately and plug into the wall or a power strip. At this point, though, I think I'd recommend their new X2 battery instead of the tethered passthrough ("big" battery step up as mod/APV), as it will hold a charge for a lot longer and is portable. Although I have not given up my regular batteries from Smokeless Image, the new X2 is mighty nice to have. The regular cartomizers are usable with it, and also has a new clearomizer to hold a lot of liquid, which is also usable on the regular batteries, though it will look funny and feel a bit lopsided. Again, you can charge the X2 at the computer, but I wouldn't vape as it charges. I'd stick with charging using the 1.5A wall adapter.

There are many other choices out there. Some cheaper, many more expensive. For super cheap, You can get a $65 kit from MyVaporStore.com, which includes a pack of random carto's and the tethered passthrough, but the batteries are what you pay for. They still are a decent backup to my Smokeless Image Volts, though. I prefer Smokeless Image for the quality of their product and their great choices for accessories, and their more than excellent customer service.

There will be other opinions, but you wanted to stay on the inexpensive side, so Smokeless Image would be a good choice.

Definitely do some more reading here at ECF before making a choice. There are many different systems and things to consider. I personally don't recommend skipping the "lower" end 510's or KR808's before heading to mods/APV's, but that is my preference only. You'll find something right for you in all the information available here.

+1 on Smokeless Image - Volt

I have 26 converts to date and was setting everyone up with Joye Egos using Boge Cartos to start and moving to Tanks if desired but I find that for people that want an ecig that looks like a cigarette and is comparable in size the Volt is it. They sell blank Cartos or you can get them pre filled and buy the liquid of the same flavor to refill. A good option for inexpensive E-Liquid is Rocky Mountain Vapor - I have purchased this for converts and they really like the flavor. I myself stick with USA Nic (not sure if Rocky Mountain Vapor is USA) and order from Pink Spot Vapors which is not cheap but is just too good!

I also would suggest always buying a kit with two batteries but right now Smokeless Image is running a promotion where you can send them a picture of you using your Volt and receive a free battery so you could buy the $29.95 Starter Kit with one battery and send them a pic and receive the second battery for free.
