I also recommend a Volt starter kit for your situation. Its what I started on.
You can learn a ton of knowledge on this website. It can be overwhelming, there is so much info. Also be aware that many here will try to steer you to what worked for them (nothing wrong with that), but keep in mind is that what you need.
You will learn that the technique for vaping is different from smoking, for best effect. When inhaling a personal vaping device, or electronic cigarette, suck in slowly as if you were drinking a milkshake. Then inhale into your lungs. Then exhale thru your nose and mouth. The wonderful thing about vaping is the variety of flavors available, and to best experience them, exhaling thru the nose and mouth helps you "taste" these subtle flavors.
Nicotine in vapor is absorbed primarily from the throat, not the lungs, and henseforth, is not as readily absorbed. Therefore, even if a light smoker, I'd recommend a higher nic level in your juice.
Flavors will seem muted for 3-4 weeks. Smoking cigarettes has dulled your taste buds. Don't worry, they will return with a little time. Coughing for the first week is common when beginning to vape, your body needs to adjust to a new way of absorbing the nicotine.
Basic rule of vaping: You can never have too many charged batteries available. No batteries means no vaping, panic, and returning to the nasty cigarettes for that nic fix.
It's ok to occassionally smoke a cig when beginning to vape. If your intent is truly to quit, the cigarettes will soon begin to taste terrible once your taste buds return.
Good luck and happy vaping.
