Hi All, I'm needing some help.... after 2+ years of vaping, I'm finding I'm not tasting my juice. My set-up has always been my Istick and Aspire Mini tanks.. I'm really small, so this set-up has been mist comfortable in my hand... in looking for something new that would may help me more TASTE MY juice!
For these reasons, I think I've narrowed it down to 2 different set-ups, I'd love your opinion..
Pico with Melo 3 Mini tank
Subbox Nano.
Each has, I know, some up sides and down sides... Some I've not thought of or know enough to understand. I'm hoping that you'll advise me of maybe more, a deciding factor?
It's the wish for better FLAVOR I'm hoping to achieve with this! I've stayed away from subohming because of increased costs.
$. Is REALLY tight right now.
Any advice you may have have or information regarding these mods, I'd really appreciate and welcome.

The PICO was my first sub-ohm set up and I fell in love. Now I've got 2 PICO's, 2 Melo III's, 2 Atlantis EVO's and an Eleaf iJust on the way. I just keep mine set at 35W and use .3-.5 Triton coils (all those tanks can use the same Aspire Triton coils).

That's great to know that the Melo 111 mini can take Triton coils (can it take Triton Mini coils? I'm assuming so ...). This, however, would keep it from being a SUBOHM set up, right???
Would the Melo 3 with these coils perform the SAME as the Triton Mini (that's what I'm using is Triton Mini 1.8 coils)... Again, I'm looking for MORE FLAVOR! Wouldn't that lie, in part, to the coil type? I'm confused here... :(

I'm sorry, I jumped over the spot where you mention.3 and .5 coils... I didn't know they made sub-ohm coils for the Triton Mini? See, obviously, I'm needing some serious help! (My Istick only goes to 30 watts) Yes, the Pico would get me higher wattage... I will try to see if I can find out if the sub-ohm coils you reference would fit the MINI as well?

Some things to keep in mind, the higher the watts, the higher the amps, the more juice you will use! Juice consumption doesn't always equate to better flavor! Better flavor can come from increasing the vg (flavor carrier) percentage of the juice you are using. Also small chambered atties produce better flavor, why the. Kayfuns are so popular in that regard.
I have an Inokin Axiom that produces great flavor, small chamber. The UD Goblin mini is good flavor, small chamber.
So please don't equate clouds with flavor, most times it's quite the opposite!
Has something changed with your setup? Was the flavor good, then went away, or was it just not there to start with? Do you just need to change out your coil? What changed and how did it change, why? Give us some more info so we can narrow this down better.

Some really good advice so far. I just want to add that just because the coils used in the regular triton or the picos are considered sub-ohm doesn't mean you have to go all out and go the highest wattage just to be able to use them.
I use the melo III's and mostly the ec coils that come with(yes they are compatible with some of the other tanks listed above) and although I prefer the .03 coils I usually just set the watts around 20ish or so, it depends on the ejuice I have in the tank. By having a broader range I can find where the juice tastes the best to me. And in the pico a watt set a 23 is just a little under 4V.

I think you'd really like the pico set as its small and packs a good vape. You can probably get the kit for under $27 at a lot of the vendors online, and it comes with a couple of coils so you can decide which ohm's you like.

I also use the triton mini's in the nautilus tanks, but usually use a darker ejuice for them, like a chocolate or a caramel.

just my 2 pennies.
:)

No they can't. The melo reg and mini both take the same coils. Trition mini coils will be too small for these.

No need to be afraid of sub-ohm. It is just the natural evolution of vaping. Getting more and more like the stinkies we are were slaves to(in terms of power and satisfaction)

Thank you everyone. I've read that that the Melo 3 has a muted flavor... This is my concern with this set up, seeing that I'm looking to go in the OPPOSITE direction! Really, in research, I've since read that many coils are compatible between the Triton Mini and the Melo 3... please tell me if I'm definitely wrong? Has anyone experienced muted flavor with the Melo? How about the Subbox Nano Kit? I have teeny tiny hands... this is why mini tanks and set-ups work for me... With all that I've read, I'm leaning toward the Pico Kit because of the ability to change coils.... but I only use mini tanks??? The muted flavor thing has me wondering too... If you all say the Melo 3 has good flavor, I'm listening... Oh, financials ALWAYS a factor!

The melo3 and the triton mini have different coils. It is the regular sized Triton coil that is compatible with the melo3.

Have you looked at the tank I suggested in my previous post? If the only thing you are really looking for is flavor the eleaf gs Air m tank will do it.
Eleaf pico and the gs Air m tank are made by the same company.
That way you can use the gs Air m tank on you istick and have the flavor you are seeking.
If, on the other hand, you are looking to upgrade from the istick, then the melo 3 with the pico is a good choice. The pico kit comes with 2 or 3 coils. As soon as you see them you will realize that there is no way for them to fit in a triton mini.

:)

Of course, you could have vapers tongue, in which case no new device set up will help. A battery is after all just a battery.
And this is why I want to know what changed, when it changed then sort out why it changed! It could be vapors tounge or a gunked up coil!

Just happened across this mebe abandoned thread (nice try gang tryin' to get it started). I get a lot of that…Is that all there is?…with users I coach. My philosophy is a bit different than some. Rather than sorting out the possible infinite varieties of what is wrong, why not just get it right? The best way is to rebuild, a reliable solution that lets you simply test and find what really satisfies you. I'm an advocate for this being the starting point that resellers and this community should be striving for. An example and if you're interested…

I have a Pico with the Melo III and I also have a Atlantis EVO. The Melo's flavor, in my opinion, is not as good as the EVO, even with EVO coils installed in it. I think that the EVO is just a better tank. I like Pico fine. It's a nice little mod.

@sawlight Did you mean to say that VG is the flavor carrier? I've always thought that the PG was more of a flavor carrier and the VG was more for vapor production. I do agree that you can get good flavor without sub-ohming.

Not everyone wants to build, I know many that just don't want to! It's too easy to swap a coil and vape! There's days I sometimes wish I had a reliable tank like that myself! (Mine are all rebuildable)
There are others that just don't have the capabilities to do so, debilitating dissabilities, bad eye sight, shakes, spasms, etc. even I have days it's hard or impossible for me to pull off a build.
So while I respect your sentiment and do really appreciate where you are coming from, for a lot, it's just not possible.
