New to DIY. Going to start buying supplies, but I have a few questions?

That was my progression as well. Wish I had skipped the first part though. The first time you go to draw 10ml's of VG up in to a syringe, you are going to think of me

The measuring methodology, as long as it is repeatable and accurate, doesn't really matter on the end result. It is more about ease of preparation, cleanup,etc. The big things I have found with DIY in general are take good notes (about every thing), label and label well with all information, and most importantly have fun! Mixing is a blast!

Hahaha! I will make sure to come back here and tell you how right you were. Dammit.... never mind! I'm on Amazon now looking at scales. Do you have any that you recommend? I'm trying to find one without the auto shut off feature.

I never did find a scale that I really liked so I just ended up picking a cheap one and thinking that I would upgrade if I liked the method. I liked the method but don't find the auto shut off such a big deal and have not felt a need to upgrade. Since you measure each ingredient separately, using the tare feature between each, if it shuts off on you between ingredients, no big deal. You just can't walk away in the middle of weighing a single ingredient. I ended up with this one off of Flee Bay and it works just fine Electronic Pocket Digital Scale 0 01g 300g Weight Precision Jewelry Scale US | eBay

Thanks again Capt.shay. I just ordered the scale you linked to. It was one of the better ones as far as the auto shut off time goes (3 min). I'll let you know how it goes.
