Hi guys. I just stumbled upon these forums on google and thought id make an account and ask for opinions. About 2 months ago I decided to give e cigs a try. After looking at different brands, I decided to give v2 cigs a try. After 2 months of using it I can say that I am not happy with the product. The battery hardly works anymore and most of the flavors don't even taste close to what is mentioned. I do not feel satisfied with it and still feel the need to crave a normal cigarette.

With all that being said, I decided I am going try another one. After looking at some reviews I am leaning towards Green Smoke($129) or White Cloud Cirrus 3($300 which is very expensive). I was wondering if these are good choices or is there something better out there. As a side note money is really not a problem for me, I am willing to spend a little extra money if it is worth it. I just want a very good durable e cig that wont break down on me after a few months.

Welcome to ECF.

The choices you mentioned would not likely be on the "yes, you should" list of most folks here - reason being, there are many much better alternatives out there. The Ego, mentioned above, would certainly be one of them.

What is your current smoking habit? How many packs a day? Usually at home/work/on-the-road? Etc...

Green smoke is worse than V2! Don't do it!

Hi Swedishfish. Thanks for the quick reply. An ego? Never heard of that, maybe I will check it out. I can get one for only $30 and it is better then both of the brands I listed? If thats the case then these companies are ripping me off bigtime. wow.

They're just re-branded KR808's which you can get for a fraction of the price. Not only are the prices out of this world (especially for the White Cloud) but the parts for it are too.

An ego is bigger than the PV you are currently using (more like a 'Sharpie' than a cig) but the battery lasts longer. Better battery = last longer, better vape

There are other KR808's on the market that people like, Vapor 4 Life is a good company as well as the Volt from Smokeless image.

You mentioned you aren't satisfied with with mini, so that's why I suggested something with a bigger battery like an ego.

If money is no object, get a REO mod tomorrow 9/9 in the sale. Both Grands and minis will be available. They are bottom fed from a bottle box mods. All mechanical, very durable, and use fairly inexpensive rechargable batteries. reosmods.com Check out the forum area to learn more.

Get some 306 LR 1.5 or 2.0 atomizers and XL delrin drip tips from AvidVapor.com.

Buy some eliquids from Backwoodsbrew.net (will reopen on 9/11), vaperite.com, avejuice.com, gourmetvapor.com (having 50% off sale) to match your taste and nic level.

That's my set up. I came from V2cigs overpriced stuff, vapor4life KR808 setup, the ego-T tank system, ego 306 LR dripping, to now the REOs. If you can get over having an e-cig that looks like a cigarette, the REOs are fantastic and trouble free. Jump a few steps and save some money in the long run.

Welcome to the forum.

First I would like to welcome you to the ECF!

And Second:

I am by no means an expert and have only been Vaping for a little over a week but some of the Veterans here on ECF were kind enough to recommend an ecig and associated equipment when I first started and I would like to pass that information on to you.

Madjack, Dormouse, Reprisal, Swedishfish are just a few who were influential into my decision and this is what I now would recommend. I am very satisfied with my equipment and am having a great time finding that perfect e-liquid.

Heres what was recommended to me: ( and as I said I am extremely happy )

(The following was blatantly stolen from anothers recommendation):p

From liberty-flights.com (click the 20% discount in upper left)
riva lite kit - 29.99
510 driptip of your choosing - ~$2
5 pack Boge LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizers - $7.99

This lets you try dripping and boge cartomizers, also includes cartridges but cartridges suck.

Start with quality juices, I don't buy bargain juices anymore, not worth it imo except as a backup. I'd recommend pinkspotvapors for non-menthol juices and I'd recommend rawrvapor for menthol juices.

If you like the Boge cartos, you can get 15 for $20 and free shipping @ crystalclearvaping.com

I am not very familiar with the ego type of e cig. Normally with the v2, green smoke and other brands you just buy the cartridge and screw it on. But with these it seems you have to buy liquid and drip it yourself? How much do these liquids cost and how many traditional cigarettes is it equivalent to? Because I know most cartridges are around 20 traditional cigarettes.

No, a cartridge is not close to 20 cigarettes. I hate to say this, but you have been reading too many websites that charge hundreds of dollars for $20 worth of equipment and post fake testimonials and just plain lie.

The Boge 2 ohm cartomizer makes the Riva or eGo into a 2 piece system. You just fill up the cartomizer with a juice of your choice (instead of buying pre-filled ones) screw it on the battery and that's it.

I've only been vaping for a few weeks myself. I started out with an overpriced branded KR808 and was very happy with it other than the cartomizers were $3 a piece from the original website I got them. I quickly switched to an Ego T and absolutely love it! I tried the Boge cartos on it but don't like them at all. My preference is the tanks, easy to fill and you can always see how much juice you have left. Since you say money is not a problem, I suggest you buy lots of equipment so you don't run out. Since I started vaping I loved it far more than analogs, but have had to go back to them a few times due to equipment failures and running out of liquid.
