Black or brown carts MisterPuck?

Just refilled some of mine with Pure liquid (turkish blend - very nice and smooth) this morning. Only 6 drops you say? I got eight in mine, and they were not dry or empty. I filled them all the way to the top where the surface of the stuffing looked dark and saturated, with pauses between each drop.

Stopped up each one with the rubber stopper that comes with it, then put them in my case. Just popped one on and tried it. Seems to work fine, didn't get any juice in my mouth.

Maybe some people just pull too hard on this model? I take slow smooth drags, like when smoking a pipe. Halfway through the breath in, I take the cig out of my mouth and inhale the rest of the breath. Just like a pipe or when you inhale a cigar.

I get plenty of smoke, it takes two exhales to get it all out of my lungs. Smoking this like a typical cigarette (sharp quick pull to get a mouth full of smoke, play with smoke while it cools down, then hard inhale followed by strong exhale) would be a bit counter-productive I think...

Black carts. Came with the brown/gold/green color combo.

I know from the packaging that abettersmoke.com is using Smoore kits. That fancy 'E' logo is the factory one. I would hazard that their carts would be the same that I got, if they ordered not too long ago.

Can we get a confirmation from puresmoker or abettersmoke as to if they have this new style of cart available?

Otherwise, you *can* get them from absolutelyecigs.com (the manufacturer). Shipping is EMS/USPS Express Mail combo and only takes a week. Have to get through customs though. YMMV.
I emailed absolutelyecigs.com about the carts. Here is the email and answer. Sounds like they don't carry them anymore.

Dear Terry,

The larger cartridges are older models and the smaller ones are newer models.

We used to provide the larger ones but they have a greater occurrence of getting liquid inside the user's mouth. Therefore, we modified it to the smaller one that it is today.

Thank you very much.

I have been looking for the newer, larger cartridges for the 401's. I have some of the small ones (the ones with one leg), and I want larger ones.

Would you tell me if your cartridges for your 401's are the larger ones?

Thank you so much.

Terry

Wow, thanks for the pic of the inside of the M401 cart. :D

I just got my set and had sooooo much trouble with nicotine seeping into my mouth after refilling it. Talk about NASTY. I did not know that you can pull these suckers out and re-align them. That was the key, re-aligning them (the depth at which the inner casing sits) and now, my
e-cig does vape like a real cig. And no more leakage.

But, the little tiny wad of what ever that stuff is, is so sparse and frail.
WOULD YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THAT STUFF IS AND WHERE IN ONTARIO, CANADA CAN I BUY MORE OF IT.

I just saw a commercial on T.V. as typing this. Guess who's getting on the copy cat band wagon. Yep, Nicorette Inhaler and they won't have a problem cause they don't have vapor.....for me, I like the vapor. I like the feeling like I am smoking a real cig.
Cheeky buggers.
I tried to post the link, but this system says I can't until I do 15 posts.
Just look up Nicorette Inhaler to see the system they came up with.
The link I found the full pic is on nicorette.ca(forward slash)stop-smoking(forward slash)products(forward slash)inhaler

CheeMiss,
Nicorette isnt quite copying, as they are pretty different. Those inhalers have been out for several years now as well. I wasn't very particular personally..

Oh also, the batting is whats commonly referred to as PolyFill or Fluval. There is a few variances of it, but it is a polyester. Your local fabric shop should carry Polyfill, and the Fish/Aquarium store should have Fluval. If not, you could try a wal-mart-alike. :)

lolololol leave it to me to just notice lolololol

Thank you for pointing that out. Nicorette products never impressed me so I guess that is why I have not noticed it before. lololol

btw: My new M401, I am always having to re fill it so quickly. Does any one else have this problem? Maybe that fuzzy little batting inside the cart is just to skimpy? Any suggestions to making the juice last longer than 8-10 puffs?

The cart really does not last very long at all & neither do my batteries. Maybe I should have held out for the dse 801 from what I read about it, the batt & carts last longer. Is that true?

Thank you for the info on the poly fill, but isn't that full of chemicals? Maybe it has more damaging chemicals than a real cig???? What do you think? This really concerns me.

I have been reading that the carts on the M401 are suppose to last like ie: 8-10 real cig's. My carts, whether pre-made or my filling them with 3 drops only last 8-10 puffs. Why??? What am I doing wrong? Have I got a lemon? Advise please?

The manufacturers...lie. Ok, exaggerate. but, you're also not refilling that cart from empty on 3 drops. And there are better ways. Realistically, an M401/2/3/evo/pilot cart (with the 'side wings') holds around .25ml of fluid, from a new, unfilled but stuffed (poly fill) cart.

Pop the mouthpiece off the e-cig.
Push the inner cart up or out with a paper clip.
Fill the cart with a syringe or 'precision oiler' from the bottom of the cart (push to bottom through the fill, on a corner of the cart). Fill until top just starts to saturate, remove syringe/oiler. You now have a properly filled cart. Put the 'stopper' back in until ready for use.

You can also 'dip' with the exposed atomizer. Put a few drops of liquid into a contact case, soda cap, etc. Remove mouthpiece from e-cig. Put the metal wick pointing down, into the small pool of liquid for a few seconds, it will absorb what it needs. Your choice to put an empty (no cart) mouthpiece, or a mouthpiece with a cart inside it, back on. Good for ~8-15 good drags now. Repeat whenever vapor production drops.

igetcha has a video on refilling 401/evo carts, and terraphon at least has one on re-stuffing hem with new poly, try finding them if the above is confusing somehow.

Okay, I watched Scott's video.....there is no way my M401-3winged cart can hold more than 6 drops as per Scotts video. (btw: at least it's 3 more than I was using before. yeah). but not 9....I tried and got juice on the inhale. yukkie!

Apparently the one I have is the newest model. (?) Why don't they just make these e-cigs with bigger carts for the juice? They have the technology. In this case, less is NOT more! lololol

Scott, now that I know the metal pyramid on the atty is suppose to be wet with juice....I have just had a flash as to a much easier, larger fill design to the juice cart. Less time spent filling and more time vaping. hmmm, I wonder who I should talk to about it? :?:

regarding the steel wick.........moist yes, flooded no! lol your new design will need to make sure that it doesnt deliver too much liquid to it or you will get problems.

it sounds like you have one of the really small inner carts. if so, when adding drops just fill it to 3/4, replace wool and then add 1 or 2 drops. then wipe of excess liquid with paper towel. on the vid is also a tutorial on how to remove excess liquid from the carts if you over fill............its at the end in the troubleshooting questions part.

    cheers,

    scott

I got my first PV, an M402 last week (from MyPVShop). I had been using the carts that came with it (wings and flat bottom on inner cart). Yesterday I grabbed one of the separate black carts I ordered at the same time and sort of freaked when it was different - the black one's inner cart was clear and had the flat side and a spike on the bottom. So I couldn't get it to stand on its own and it would also slide back down into the mouthpiece if I pushed it up with a paperclip. I had more trouble with it too - got juice in my mouth (fortunately peach), and it wasn't wicking the juice as well - I had to top it off frequently and I could see there was still plenty of juice in it. Maybe the flat-sided one I used was just stuffed badly.

So if I understand correctly, the winged ones with the flat-bottomed inner cart are the new ones? The plugs on mine are also different - the winged ones' plugs are longer with a solid top and open circular bottom (I use the flat side push the inner cart down and tapered end to push it down inside). The flat-sided ones' plugs are shorter with a solid bottom and an open circular top. I just ordered more blank carts elsewhere yesterday so I could compare some juices I got - I hope I get the winged ones.
