Probably great cells for a 50W regulated box mod.

I have two married pairs of HE4's that I'm using in my Vapor Flask DNA40.

My only other mods are two iStick 20w (self contained batteries), as I've only been vaping for 3 months.

Would there be any downside to using the HG2's in the VF?

I seriously doubt it. I'd use them.

The battery tests.. Don't look great. Especially when compared to the 25R or HE2.

I say skip it. Get an HE4 or an HE2 (or a 25R). It's tried and true (and cheap on Illumn).

I'd be wary of directly comparing the HG2 to those other two cells with those tests as they are completely different. The HG2 is using a 10s on time vs 4s on time for the other cells. That puts a lot more stress on the HG2 since it's being fired at a 50% duty cycle and the other two cells are only being run at a 7% duty cycle. This gives the other two cells a lot more time to recover between discharges.

In my testing (constant-current as of now) the HG2 beats out the 25R by a bit except, as @m00shie mentioned, it runs hotter than 25R. Cycle life could be shorter. On/off testing will be done.
