Thanks again for the recs and info.

I will definitely start reading up mor on the mods, I cannot have juice leaking in my pocket. At this moment I do not like the MVP style plus they are fairly bulky. The itaste 134 is way too big to carry at work but definitely looks heavy duty.

I still have a lot to figure out. I think I like telescoping, especially for work; I would not want to carry around various spacers. However I could just stick to 18650 batteries while at work.

Honestly I still have a lot to figure out. I need to find out truly what size i am comfortable toting around, etc. I do like the size of the Magneto but after watching the psuardo video and relating to some of the issues he points out; I will have to look for something different.

I definitely think I will end up with a mod/rba in the end, but am willing to start off with something more user friendly until I learn more of the ins/outs of the mods.

I would really like to pick something up today, but after looking at some of the pricing linked; I have noticed my locals must be selling at retail...bummer. The thing I like about having a local shop is the ability to handle them in person, even if they do not have a big selection.

Overall are itaste and smoktech good brands? If I do vv/vw is something like the svd or smoktech sid good units? Or would it be better to get something like a provari.

Can't go wrong with a provari, although a little dated, it is top notch construction and heavy duty. They also have good customer service. + it's american.

I have heard good things about the sid. and the svd.

You an look at the Vamo's as well.

For the record, I have high end mechs (Zenesis hybrids and King mod) but I also have a Magneto, I am very impressed with the magneto. Fires every time and it now have an adjustable center pin.

I think you should check out a Reo. reosmods.com. It is a bottom feeding mod, so your battery and your juice bottle are inside. Then you just put a dripping atomizer on top. To get juice to it, you just squeeze the bottle. Outside of the amazing cape they put out, they are made from an aluminum bloc making them very sturdy. They are also made in the US.

I really appreciate all the info you always provide to people. Very informative and you provide links, etc.

I just looked on the provari site and it seems for the money one could find better for the money, IDK.

I am looking to try and pick something up locally today just so I can get started and begin learning with hands on experience. Currently I think I am leaning between the SVD and possibly the Magneto with the info you have provided. They do also have the SID at this local shop. The SVD may be a bit larger(length) than I really want to go. I will have to look at it and handle it.

Between the SVD and magneto, which would you say to try? Also what tank setup should I try to start with if I went with the magneto? Maybe the adj center pin is why the guy at the store had a hard time getting it to hit right. He kept saying I really needed an rba on it.

Thanks but I am currently not interested in this style, its like the mvp, etc.

I've don't a lot of research and was at and endpass similar to yours where I was torn between the magneto and a nemesis clone from fasttech and a SVD. I was leaning pretty hard towards the nemesis clone mech mod but once I realized that drippers need to be refilled all the time and that genesis tanks cannot be laid on their side without leaking and that the kayfun lite is anything but light I was gonna go with the SVD and some clearomizers and cartomizers until I found the SID. It's light, compact, rms only, it's top cap connection can take anything you would want to put on it and can be had for $40. I will probably get a mech mod and dripper in the future just to tinker with and blow huge clouds at home but it would never leave the house. You really cant go wrong when getting started with mods to get a SID and a couple tanks from IBtanked.

For something fast and inexpensive to test drive:

Nemisis Clone (comes with a kick ring)
Evolv Kick 2
A Hybrid High Drain 18650 Cell.
KayFun Cone

The Kick will give you a consistent regulated vape with use till it stops low voltage battery protection. It'll afford quite a few more puffs before battery changes. Every hit will be the same wattage. You'll also get short circuit protection.

The main reason I recommend the Nemisis is because it comes with the Kick and PTC fuse rings.

Other than that...there are plenty of choices out there that would require going with 18500 or smaller batteries if you want to Kick it...or just use a straight battery and 'maybe' you could fit in a PTC fuse.

I'd second this suggestion for a Reo -- simple, nearly indestructible devices, and you can use plain old dripping atties, cartos, or some rebuildable atties. I have a Vmod (also a bottom feeder) which is not nearly as tough as a Reo, but a good, simple, mechanical device that just works -- the Reo is a step up in terms of durability and more flexibility in using rebuildables.

cheers,
andrew

Thanks again for the suggestions. I have now taken the initial step into the vaping world. Say what you will, but this is where I have ended up starting. I can now read up on all the suggestions along with info from the forum.

I really wanted to start vaping today and get the feel for everything before I go back to work on Monday. I ended up just going with the Magneto along with an ego-w. I did not want to get too carried away although the kayfun lite and aqua were looking very tempting.

Picked up 2 18650 batteries, charger, ohm tester, etc. I will definitely need to make sure I get the recommended equip to use. I am not sure of the quality of the items my local store had but will work for at least the first month while I research.

I will still be looking into other options for a spare/backup unit, etc. Back to researching but I might get the Super T ELA next, I prefer to support our country as much as possible but I know quality comes from Many other countries as well. There are certain things I already do not like about the Magneto, but it will hold me over for a while.
