New Ego CE5 Kit from bestecig and Questions!

I still can't post in the other forums so I'll post it here.

I placed an order on bestecig.com, arrived here 5 days later.

I ordered :

Ego CE5 mega kit
15 replacement coils
extra CE5 clearomizer
6 assorted bottles of ex high VG/PG liquid.

EVERYTHING arrived in good order- was worried I'd have some DOA stuff but so far it doesn't seem like it. I slapped onr battery on the charger, turned green quickly. I was going to leave it on for 8 hours but I was so zealous to try the damn thing I filled a clearo with french pipe liquid and tried it out. Not bad, nice to get a nicotine fix inside without the smell of smoke!

But I have a question: was it bad I didn't leave it on for 8 hours? I put the other one on to charge (it's green now) and I'm going to do exactly what the instructions say for this one. I've heard various things that you don't really need to leave it on, but paranoid as I am, I hope my in my haste to try it I didn't ruin the battery life.

Also: how easy it to cross thread the clearos? I'm worried when I unscrew the tip or base I'm going to do that accidentally.

i have to tell you when i got my first ego ce5 (i now use a halo triton), i didn't charge the battery for 8 hrs...only because i didnt read the instructions lol. I don't think I messed up the battery in any way, but we will never know. I don't think you will ever have a problem cross threading either, at least my husband and I have never ran across that problem to date. Hope I helped some.

When the light on the charger turns green, it's charged, no need for any longer. The Li-ion batteries are shipped already charged, and what you did was to top off the charge, quite normal. The batteries do not have a "memory" so the life is unchanged...

Cross threading is a very bad thing, not that easy to do, but something to be careful when attaching a carto. Make sure the carto is started straight and square to the battery, and proceed slowly. If there is more resistance to screwing it on than normal, should be smooth and easy to turn, back it off and try again. You'll get a feel for it in no time....

The threads are small, so when in doubt, do NOT try to tighten it more if it doesn't screw down all the way. But I haven't ever managed to cross thread one yet.

You really don't need to charge it the full 8 hours, they just put that in the instructions so you don't call them about a dead battery right after you get the device

you got it under control and great advice from all...

don't screw CE5 to tight on battery-allow wicks enuff time to soak up juice-
drink plenty of water-and wash behind your ears

is this the kit ya bought :

- mega eGo CE5 clearomizer e-cig with two 1100mAh eGo batteries and 2 eGo CE5 clearomizers

do you know/hear about "tank cracker" juices ??

some juices will attack polycarbonate tanks

I am buying my stuff from bestecig.com for about 3 years.
I have no complains, perfect quality products and I get them in less than 5 days in California.
They have very good liquids, I get Mixed VG/PG (personal choice RY4 + Dunhill I mix them 50/50). They have 36mg Super High that I prefer ...can’t find this in US
The new eGo Mini Protank Glassomizer is the best choice.
I real trust their liquids quality, they make them.

The only problem is the price a bit higher for the batteries and atomizers; even if they are cheaper than US you can find them a bit cheaper to other China suppliers (still decent quality).
But as for liquids I would not by them from others China supplier, except bestecig.com

Just wanted to say, there are definitely some American vendors that carry 36mg liquid. Just FYI unless I misunderstood you.

It's completely fine to leave the ego on for hours, it's very rare I would ever turn mine off when I used it as my main pv. I never saw an effect on the battery, but then again, I never really tested the output through any programs so I wouldn't know. I am sure someone here has tested it and found some kind of hard textbook answer.

Cross threading isn't 'easy' but it isn't hard either. The threads are small and if you do tighten it real hard they will x-thread but as a general rule of thumb...just tighten it until you feel resistance and then stop.
