Hi guys . You probably all know that Australia has banned just about all vapes & all juice. We can buy from a chemist with a script but only pod system. Vapers like myself prefer mods & making our own juice
I've joined your group to learn more about storing ALL liquids long term
Great to be here
I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can freeze flavour bottles & VG/PG base ?
Thanks

Well if you can do pods you can do RDAs and RTAs. Disposables are for dummies anyway. They seem cheap, but it a continuing cost. They’re more expensive than an RTA inside a month. You may have to get nic base and learn to DIY, which will save you a ton of money in the long run.
The impression I got is they’re trying to push people who have never smoked into cigarettes. All they’re going to get is a bunch of 30 and 40 year olds with cancer. It will take a while though and then they’ll be out of office, and they don’t care who they kill as long as someone else cleans up the mess. The kids they’re condemning to death won’t be kids anymore when they die.

Welcome to ECF  Enjoy the Forum!
Just keep your bottles of flavour in a cool dark place the same with your VG/PG. If you store flavours in the freezer crystals can form.
Nicotine you can put in the freezer without a problem:thumb:
Thanks for that
I've been making my own liquid for ages & have just kept it in a dark cool cupboard. When they brought the ban in I stocked up on VG/PG base & as many flavours as I could . I've never had so much at a time so was wondering the best way to store it long term

Yes I agree
I live remotely so it's next to impossible to get anything but nicotine with a script (Bern doing that for awhile) my friends in the city are saying they can still buy disposables anywhere .
I hate disposables & enjoy mixing my own liquid.
Stupid laws have gone way too far & are making older people like myself suffer while city kids are still vaping stuff made in China - crazy

On the same storage question! Should I be putting my flavours in the fridge? I was told be a seller to store my diluted nicotine in the fridge not freezer
As far as your flavours go you shouldn't store them in fridge, even the slight coolness in a fridge will start to crystallize certain flavours. If you would like any further info regarding nicotine pop over to the Random DIY Thread and you will get get lots of help there, it's great for mixing info too!! Random DIY mixing and More
Nic is one thing I can't give you too much info on as I vape CBD juice myself :thumb:

Can you still get nicotine there? A lot of mixers get 10% nicotine and store it. We can still buy it in the US but it could disappear any time so many of us have picked up a lifetime supply. It will last forever in the freezer. I did hear a while back that folks in Aus still get it from China. They will ship it with a label that calls the contents something other than nicotine so you have to just cross your fingers and hope it gets through customs. Not sure if you would be in trouble if it gets caught, other than losing your shipment.

They say VG and PG will last a long time just in a cool room. Flavorings for mixing will always be available since it is used in food prep and other places, vaping is a tiny % of the market. The storage rules are a bit unclear. Some flavorings will last forever on a shelf, others will go off after a while. My favorite vanilla went bad after a year. Heard different opinions about putting it in the fridge. Or were you talking about mixed juice? That can go off, sometimes quite fast. No idea whether the fridge will help, freezer is definitely a no-no.

If you are thinking about the long term nicotine is the biggie. That's the only one which could become hard or impossible to get hold of.

Vaping gear could be off the legal market as well, but you can get that from China. They ship it with a label that says filters or something like that. Customs can't open a million small packages looking for the one that might be a vape tank.

I'm with Daniel, mixed juice, flavors, PG and VG in cool dark places, nic in the freezer.

Just give the "frozen" (it doesn't freeze ;) ) nic plenty of time to get to room temp before opening, to prevent any water condensation in it. And, well, to let it's viscosity thin out! And do shake it well before using, just to eliminate any chance of it separating out from the base PG or VG.

Yep. What it seems like they’re trying to do is drive the disposable people to cigarettes, though perhaps I am assuming too much knowledge. I think it will have that effect, and I think the cigarette industry knows it and orchestrated it. Whether the actual government does too I don’t know though. This from half a world away. So very armchair.
aliexpress though has hardware listed as motorcycle parts. May work for you.

At the moment we can get nicotine from a chemist but with a script. I'm Ok there as I have one . I knew the flavours were from food but still don't know where to get them so bought a lot of my favourites &are getting conflicting advice about storage
I mix up my own & this week put a few small bottles of nic & with flavour in the fridge & they seen fine so far .I've had flavour go off in the cupboard before so that was the main reason for my question.
Getting stuff from China sounds easier than it is
I had some confiscated before the ban came in & it was labelled filters

    I will try Aliexpress
Before vaping got big in Aus I was buying all my stuff from Chinese company Fasttech . Had a few things confiscated but mostly got through.
Its insanity over here . We can't buy any hardware at all now

I'm not sure if you're on Facebook or not but there's quite a few Aussie BST groups on there that are great to get hardware from locally :thumb:
