Need some recommendations please...

I'm currently using the VIP Photon and I'm using CE5 tanks with it. But I'm just getting so fed up with the tanks. When they're good, they're great, but when they're bad, they're really bad. I find that they keep leaking despite me keeping it upright and trying to make sure I pour the liquid down the side of the tank avoiding the hole in the middle, it takes ages for me to get the liquid to taste right when I use a new tank – I prime it, leave the liquid to settle but it still can taste absolutely vile for sometimes a good day or so, sometimes they just don't work at all. I've bought them from various different places but same problem.

My husband uses the Innokin Endura T2 which he really likes and he never has any leaking problems so I'd ideally like something similar to that but without the warmth to the vape. I didn't get on with it for that reason. I like the VIP Photon but I'm just fed up of trying to get the tank right. So any recommendations? I watched a video on youtube the other day and I'm sure the guy mentioned an Aspire on – maybe the K1? Has anyone used this? Is the vape warm? Thanks.

Hey there! Personally, Im not a tank person, mainly because of all the leaking, etc. however, I would recommend going with a Variable Wattage or Variable Voltage (VW/VV) device, so you can turn down the power to suit your taste. I got an Innokin iTaste MVP 2 and an Iclear 30s for my mom and she loves it! I personally use an Istick 120 watt and an RDA, and stick in that area of vaping. but from my Mom having these I can tell you they'll hold up for awhile.

I have a K1 I use for tobacco only juice and it works just fine for me with no leaking (used on a Spinner battery). I run it with a 1.8 coil. I like a cool vape myself and find with a higher resistance coil and low wattage I can get just the vape I'm looking for.

The K1 is an awesome little tank. One of the best of the very small tanks and 10 times better than an VIP overpriced junk.

Absolutely no surprise Vaping 360 put a Vaporfi Tank as No.1
That list is worthless. Vaping 360 recommend products based on MONEY (commission) for them.
Thankfully the OP won't be buying Vaporfi in the UK. No chance.

I have a few k1 glassomizers, they only hold about 1.5 ml of juice, and are a bit of a pain to fill. With that being said they are great little mtl vapes, you can get the tank for about $8 and a pack of coils for about the same. I've never had a leaking problem and at about 10 watts the vape is not hot.

If you asked on AAEC someone might have a few (K1). I have coils but no tank (BVC).
Alternatively, I can look at Vapefest for you in the free-to-folk collection point. There might well be a tank or coils in there.

From my understanding all the Aspire BDC's fit the newer BVC's so your CE5 should be alot like the K1 you just need different coils. BVC have cotton and that fixes the leaking of BDC silica wicks. I had the same problem with EVOD's till I switched out the wicks with cotton ones. All kanger BDC's fit BVC's now as well and the old single coil ones have a SOCC coil now as well so you don't have to do it manually like I did.

I would recommend the Nautilus Mini with a 1.8 ohm coil running at 7 watts. That would produce a cool vape. There is a website here that could help out if you end up making your own coils. It has a small picture of flame for temp of vape it would be. Blue meaning cool and red meaning hot. If you go that route but the above mentioned would give you a cooler vape. That would be fab! I still don't know a lot about these things. I know what I like and I do really like what I have, I'm just beyond fed up with getting a mouth full of juice when I inhale, the liquid tasting vile, the CE5 just not working, the burning taste. It's definitely time to move on. I haven't smoked a single cigarette since January, even on nights out with smokers so I'm really pleased with myself, I just need something that works better.

If you could look on vapefest for me that would be fab. I'm going to go to a vape shop tomorrow. I think they may sell K1s so I'm hoping they might let me try it. But I'm not sure if they do or not cos there seem to be no fixed rules in place about vaping inside shops.

Have you tried the BVC? Just assumed using BDC because of the leaking. Silca don't absorb juice very well, especially high VG. The K1 and CE5 use the same coils only difference is K1 comes with BVC installed CE5 comes with BDC installed.

Oh my bad I was thinking of the newer CE5-S or something like that. Yours is old school, in that case yeah K1 looks awesome. Glass so you can use all the "tank cracking juices" EVOD Glass is roughly the same but without a changeable driptip and a few bucks cheaper here.

The VIP 'Photon' clearo is just a basic clearo, more like a CE4 really.

@susan_1981 - I will keep my eyes out tomorrow at the National (UK) Vapefest to see if there's anything like K1 or similar.

Is it hard to make your own coils?

BVC's are a little tricky and annoying the original ProTanks and EVOD's with bottom single coil are quite easy. Youtube would be your best source for that. Need a ohm meter or mod that reads them just to know actual ohms you made. 2mm drill bit, 30-32 AWG Kanthal and a pack of organic cotton. You just use the drill bit to wrap wire around, don't need to actually drill anything as I once thought... unless you build claptons etc in RTA/RDA's.

Not at all. You can get a RTA - Rebuildable tank atomizer and have plenty of room to make your own. I would also recommend that you get an ohms meter, and read up on battery safety and ohms law to get an understanding to what you are doing here: (18) Baditude's Blogs | E-Cigarette Forum It consists of wrapping wire around a small screwdriver, cut your leads, put into holes and add cotton. If you do a search (how to build your own coil for ecig)on coil building, there are plenty of videos showing you how to do it. Not to mention, it would save you a lot of money on coils as I have only spent $14-US on a spool of Kanthal wire and a small bag of cotton and have been using it for the last year and a half. Some people are not comfortable making their own or physically not capable. If not, it is ok. Maybe someone close by can help you out. Hope this helps.
