The eGo system is a 510 system, only a larger battery. Think about the size of a cigar versus something closer to a cigarette. The battery life will last much longer as well.

510 is just the most common thread pattern; Volt uses an 808 thread pattern which is the second most common. Either the kit you're looking at now or the standard Volt will closely resemble a cigarette in size and shape. They're both 9.4 mm in diameter and between 68-78 mm long. I would recommend Smokeless Image (the Volt) over the one you're looking at now, only because I'm familiar with Smokeless Image. They have a 90 day, no questions asked return policy on all of their products and they offer a decent range of devices to use.

People are going to continue to suggest the bigger batteries to you. If you smoke 2-3 packs a day, battery life is going to become a major factor when switching to vaping. The bigger the battery, the longer they last and the less often you have to charge them.

However, if it must be a cig-alike (and for many of us, that's how we start), then I would actually suggest either the eRoll or the Sidesho by Modern Vapor. I haven't tried the eRoll yet, but I've heard great things about it. I primarily use cig-alikes, and by far the best I've tried to date is the Sidesho. It feels the most like a cigarette, in size, weight and draw. It took me 6 months to drop cigarettes completely, and it was the Sidesho that did so. And I used to smoke 2-3 packs of Mavericks and Camels a day.

You're probably going to want 24 mg liquid. That's what I've started with and have stayed with so far, but everyone is different. Some heavy smokers are fine at 18 mg while others use 36 or even 48 mg liquid all day. There's really no hard and fast rule for any of it.

As I said above, your best bet is to just buy a kit and get started. For some reason, buying that first kit is the most difficult. Are you going to waste money? Possibly. But if you spend $60.00 to get started and you use that kit for 3 days without smoking, then you've already broken even on what you would spend on cigarettes. Very few people around here stick with the first kit they buy. But even if you spend half of what you did on smoking a week, then you're ahead of the game.

Good luck.
